It’s like a kiss on the mouth and a knee in the groin, all at the same time. That is my conclusion of the game tonight between Napoli and Inter which ended 4-2 at the final whistle. Inter played really well in the first half and really, outplayed Napoli over the whole course of the match. We score two goals in one half against Napoli at the Sao Paolo. Last week, we scored three goals against Parma, still we can’t win. Conclusion? Something is seriously wrong with our defense.

The mercato coming up in two weeks and on everybody’s lips it’s the same name: Lavezzi. I don’t get it. We score the most goals in all of Serie A and yet we’re still stuck in fifth place and the dream of the Champions League is probably over and out already. That’s because we can’t defend our self anymore. Ranocchia is in my opinion not good enough for Inter. We don’t need extra strength in attack with all the goals we produce, we need a stronger defensive line to keep us from conceding a dozen goals per game and at that point, two goals against Napoli will be enough and three goals at home against Parma, will certainly be enough. Let’s focus on a defensive midfielder and a top-class replacement for Andrea Ranocchia.

In this game, I can’t complain about Inter too much. We lack ability in the defensive line, but other than that, the whole team performed rather well, especially criticized Saphir Taider who did a admirable performance in the first half. So did Guarin who, in his assist to Nagatomo, handle the ball spectacularly with a lot of physical strenght and the power of will. Very important for Inter at this point, actually.

Then of course, the motherless donkey of a referee steps in and stomps the game in the face with steel shoes with a series of really dreadful calls such as the situation in the box between Palacio and Maggio and the red card for Ricky Alvarez is beyond the point of giving a reasonable description in the total mayhem of awfulness. Now, we’ll face Milan in the derby next weekend without one of our key-players, just because of two very doubtful yellow cards. Tagliavento strikes again. Porco.
