The British tabloid The Mirror reports that Inter and Liverpool are very interested in Barcelona’s full-back, Martin Montoya, who is currently sitting on an expiring contract.
The player is free to sign a new contract with whoever he wants, especially as the negotiations regarding an extension of his current deal with Barcelona are on stand-by. What speaks against a move to Liverpool is that he would have to battle over a place in the starting line-up with Glen Johnson, who is as much of a starter for the ‘Reds’ as Dani Alves is for Montoya’s current club.
