Ibrahima-Mbaye

Genoa is trying to once more to sign Ibrahima Mbaye, according to reports from transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio.

“Genoa is again shifting their focus on Livorno. After having signed Ceccherini the club has enquired about the availability of Ibrahima Mbaye. For the moment Livorno have said no, it also seems very unlikely that Inter will give their approval to the deal, at least not until after the fixture Genoa – Inter. Gasperini’s idea is to use the player as one of the central defenders in a 3-man defense, which is exactly what Inter are planning on doing in the future.”

“However, right now Inter don’t want to give away any rights meaning a co-ownership for the player, who next season will take part in the pre-season camp and then surely become a bigger part of the club’s project. He is ready to act as a back-up to Campagnaro on the right of the 3-man defense as he is right-footed despite currently playing on the left hand side” Di Marzio reports.
