Reported by Tuttosport this morning it appears that Valencia made a request to take Inter striker Mauro Icardi on loan for 6 months. This enquiry was quickly rebuffed by the Nerazzurri coach Walter Mazzarri who is yet to see the player at 100% fitness.

I’m guessing he wanted a striker, and was probably also promised Hernanes if these deals went through. So, all in all, he did say yes, and was probably right to do so.
