In this morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport Andrea Elefante looks at the current crisis at Inter and makes several interesting observations. Despite the technical gap (reduced slightly due to Hernanes and D’Ambrosio arrivals) between Inter and their opponents, we haven’t seen the fire and freedom that Mazzarri’s Napoli were famous for. Instead Inter have been plagued by individual errors, not only from the likes of Kovacic but also from veterans like Palacio and in particular Nagatomo. Although Mazzarri faces some difficult choices it may be the week where he should rule with an iron fist.

I think Mazzari has it all wrong too, he seems to be adamant 3 at the back is a necessity, rumours was, part of his contract was to adapt the team to working with 3 at the back but we all know now its not going to happen, if only he seen the 4 at the back with 5 midfielders and a striker will be effective, three at the back before mazzari and strama was famous for being uneffective for the squad we have, yes we have attacking wide men but then this will expose our wings, most of the goals we concede have been from a drilled in ball etc because there was so much space where our full backs should be but there too busy attacking, D’ambrosio looked promising against Juve, he can play LB or RB, either way 4 at the back will definitely be more effective than the current system, maybe in the future when we have a more in depth squad but for the time being WM needs to do the 4 at the back like good old times!

WM is the most stubborn coach I’ve ever seen. He knows that 3 backs formation will not suitable with Inter players. But he is still forcing the players to adapt to this tactic simply because he refers to juve merda that uses the same tactic. Screw that. Our players look very confused about their positions and tasks to do. They just look like a bunch of clueless amateurs who don’t know what to do in the field. In fact, Inter don’t have players to play 3 backs formation effectively. That’s why, all of our defenders are suck this year because of the 3 backs formation and Inter are conceded so easily nowadays. In my opinion, WM should have observed what Mancio and Mou did with the successful 4-3-2-1 and 4-2-3-1 formation. It should be 2 center backs with 2 defensive midfielder, or 2 center backs with 1 holding midfielder and 1 defensive midfielder. That’s how Inter dominated Serie-A, especially in the treble year. And I still remember at that time, how crucial Thiago Motta, Cambiasso, and Zanetti to balance the team. Moreover, Mou realized that Zanetti was doing great jobs as defensive midfielder and he put il capitano to mark all dangerous players such as Messi, Robben, Drogba in the treble year. And we all know the rest of the story in that year.
i agree with everything you said but WM is soo stubborn and still thinks inter is another napoli!
in the preseason he said kova will be his hamsik, then he said alvarez will be his hamsik, now the lates new he wants hernanes to be his hamsik.
for god sake THIS IS INTER! just forget about napoli and start with the 4 Def already!

Calm,andes,interista are around the world,maybe we just wait now,there are so many suggestions we gave since inter’s disaster performance,and all of those just depends on mazzarri again,personally for me,if and only if,there are no changes at all regarding to team performance,i want this season end as soon as possible,forget all results,focus to keep our talented young players,building team,form winning mentality,characteristics,and spirit,signing needed players,and a great coach,but,if there are no changes at all,we hope mazzarri will do the best for inter
