Walter Mazzarri spoke with Radio Capital today and here’s what he had to say about his team.
He was asked about his relationship to president Thohir, “I have an excellent rapport with the president, if had the chance to speak to him directly it would be better, but this is just extra motivation for me. We understand eachother and there’s a mutual respect between us and that gives me extra strenght to continue my work.
About the poor form Inter has been suffering from he said “Inter had started on the right foot and then certain things happened which brought us to this moment. We’re not doing what we wanted to do, aside from sundays game against Sassuolo.
He was also asked about why young players like Mateo Kovacic, Mauro Icardi and Ishak Belfodil hasn’t gotten any regular playing time, which he responded “It’s true, but I didn’t choose them as they were already in the squad before I got here. Everyone knows that, but that’s not a problem. I have to make the most of the squad that I have. The pressure in a club like this is very different from other clubs, people need to realise that these young players comes from a different enviroment with different level of pressure.
And about Inter not receiving a single penalty so far this season he said “we’re unlucky”

Shut the hell up Mazzarri you are not at a high range of quality coaches in europe, i pray Thohir changes him next season with a good, young and perfect character coach like De boer, Simeone or even Luis Figo, obviously Mazzarri doesnt deserve the current top young lads who he has at the moment

I don’t give a shit what he choose or not choose,Inter is not his personal club and i don’t want too see how he destroyed our promising youngsters.He play with he’s favorite old and experienced players like Kuznamovic,Campagnaro,Guarin and what he achieved? I think that Mazzarri will not be the coach next season if Thohir will support his project about youngsters.Maybe he is good coach, but he doesn’t fit with this project.
For me such a project mean to use in start line-up 5-6 player with experience at age 25-29 yo, maybe 2 players at age 30-32 yo. as a leaders and example for others ( like Cambiaso, Palacio ), and about 3-4 young players age about 19-23.
The only young we have always in line-up is Juan Jesus…and he was proved by Strama and not by Mazzarri, who found almost ready solution in his face.
So Thohirs project and Mazzarri, is a different concepts.

Every chance for Kovacic? How many times did he played as starter? How much is his total playtime? He lost his touch he had with Stramala because the lack of playtime. Now how about Olsen? Where is he now? Icardi maybe act like a little punk but he can help us I believe. Now dont get me wrong, I support Mazzarri, but we must admit too, that he has his part in all of this chaos too, not to mention his statement that goes on blaming everyone but not himself, what I mean is he can do better than what he did now I think.
he started kova 6 times this season brought him off the bench in just about every game… i had high expectations for icardi but he’s got his head in the wrong area…. not saying mazzarri doesn’t deserve any blame but he has his faults like everyone else…. Still not enough time I think, just compare his total playtime with other player, lets say Guarin, Kovacic are much lesser. How much does Mazzarri trust Guarin and now Kuz? Whats the result? you misinterpret some comments and mazzaris’ words here. its not solely about playing youngster, but his fuckin stupid comments are not proper to be expressed by a coach. a coach should be more wised and will be upfront to face all the team problems. mazzari keep avoiding it instead. he’s too fuckin stubborn to admit that he makes some mistakes. dont get me wrong i like mazzari but his words are unacceptable. i like his style game, very attacking but he must also remember that this team needs to learn from past mistakes. we abandon young talents too many times. you know it. we all know it.
only some players like messi, ronaldo, and cristiano ronaldo or pogba currently who can make sudden impact. look at pirlo. he needs 4 or 5 years to be like he is now. with your kind of logic and dislike towards kovacic, you’ll just make stepbacks for inter who should maximize their potentials since we have this fuckin financial problem.
your logic and also mazzari’s logic, doesnt suit to inter conditions. if you want all-ready and matured players then madrid, city, or psg are perfect example. inter is rebuilding and it must take patience. especially on their youngsters. your feet should be on the ground. we have very concrete condition here which is rebuilding, start from zero they say.
