Serbian central-defender Nemanja Vidic is not yet an Inter-player, which is quite hard to believe since Gazzetta della Sport already has started their speculations ’round which number Vidic will pick to wear on the back of his Inter-jersey.
The number 15 is highly likely for the Serb. The same number he wore for many years at Manchester United and luckily for Vidic, the number 15 is currently vacant at Inter. Ironically enough, Vidic also won exactly 15 titles during his time at Manchester United. Needless to say, Gazzetta della Sport believes that Vidic will sign and choose number 15.
La Gazzetta: Vidic will take number 15 for Inter

He is such a good, charismatic and undertaker def and he shall do some good things for our current def line, at least two years
Vidic was the best defender in the world from 2008-2011. He’s had some bad luck with injuries over the past year-and-a-half but he’s tough as nails and I see him coming to Inter with extra motivation to prove himself again after the way he was treated by United.
A match made in heaven? haha. Anyway I think this deal will go through and he will bring his tenacity and experience to this defense, especially important with Samuel leaving.
And even though he is older remember until last year he was a starter for the Premier League champs, a much faster paced league compared to Italy. And in a middle of a 3 man defense even better.
Last season? He was MOTM away to Arsenal just yesterday! He is a top class CB & Utd would love to keep him but he would only stay if they offer him a renewal on his current salary (£6m a year) the same situation J.Cesar & co went through at Inter, obviously both parties would have loved to stick together but Inter did not want to extend 32 year olds for £5m a year & players rarely accept a pay cut & choose to play anywhere else if the pay cut is the only way (Cesar ended up & QPR!) not saying Vidic is being forced or implying that Inter are beneath Utd but the fact that getting him free is a steale! He still has 2 top quality years in him & we know he’s TOP quality, that type of World class CB is valuable even at 35, just look at Samuel. If Vidic stays fit & plays consistently Inter will improve a great deal at the back. Only question then is what about signing Rolando?
