Jonathan was interviewed by Inter Channel after today’s loss against Atalanta at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
“I expected a tough match because they have some quality players up-front, after we equalized we played very well. They had their chances, just like we had ours but the ball didn’t want to go in, we hit the woodwork 3 times. It was a match where we experienced a moment of lapse of concentration in which Atalanta capitalize and score.”
My chance? I saw that the goalkeeper had come out and I tried to lob. It was a match which we could have won, now we have to try to win the upcoming match. After we scored we really pushed them down, we moved the ball around well but they covered and closed down all spaces really well. In the dressing room there was a lot fo disappointment, but also calmness, because we were applauded by the supporters, we know that losses are a part of football, we hope to be concentrated from the first minute in the coming fixture against Udinese. We have three days to prepare ourselves well for this match and to speak to the coach, to not make the mistakes we made today.”
“During half-time the coach told Cambiasso to pass me the ball more often because I had a lot of space to attack, during the second half I got the ball mora often, it’s a shame that we weren’t able to use these situations more often and in a better way than we did. Guarin and I udnerstand one another very well, he always knows where he wants the ball and always gives me the ball in the right time. We always try to do what’s best for the team, he also ahd chances to score today but wasn’t able to.”

It’s Jonathan’s terrible marking that let the shortest Atalanta player score in the 6 yard box in the last minute.
it’s too Jonathan’s fault that he won’t let the ball go to our goal. Saving another Handanovic awful performance.
I guess it evens out then… yet a goal was still conceded.
I don’t know how Handanovic was awful if he made 2 great saves and could do nothing about the goals.. we let him down
