Former Inter and Sampdoria defender Riccardo Ferri was interviewed by Radio SampdoriaNews ahead of the meeting between his two former clubs.
“Sampdoria don’t have any great objectives left and therefore the team could come with low ambitions. Mihajlovic, however, is a very ambitious coach who never wants to lose. Inter? It’s the same thing there, there are no great objectives to fulfill but the club is very well aware that another season without playing in Europe would be nothing short of a complete disaster.”
Why do you say that? Its not like playing in Europa League is a big deal these days. You don’t make the same money that you would playing in the Champions League. It’s actually pitiful how little money teams make from the EL. It’s more of a hassle than reward. CL or nothing if you ask me.
