Mateo Kovacic has won over Inter. It took some time to convince Mazzarri but the coach now seems to want to reward the progress of the Croatian gem. Against Napoli he proved his class and it is now clear to Walter Mazzarri after the 0-0 draw at the San Siro because “the time was right”. Speaking of time, it is seven days until the derby against Milan, which no Interista would miss. Mateo, still without a goal, has placed the Rossoneri in his sights: “I like to play games that come with pressure. A goal? Once you get one it all becomes easier.”
Easy, unlike the start of his second season in Milan. Before his chance came in Genoa against Sampdoria, Kovacic had only managed twenty-six appearances; eight from the start and only in four of these games did he play the full 90 minutes. There was little space provided by Mazzarri due to Kovacic’s lack of effectiveness in defense. Then his chance came at the Marassi, followed by Parma at the Tadini and finally against Napoli in front of a home crowd at the San Siro. Kovacic received applause and praise and Mazzarri referred to him as a “future champion”.
The progress of Kovacic this season is due to a variety of factors, which he has worked on and will continue to work on at Pinetina with Mazzarri. First and foremost was his ability to contribute when Inter are not in possession of the ball. The Croatian has worked on his technical and tactical fundamentals and the results are visible on the field. Moreover, Kovacic has great courage in attack and this was obvious on the field against Napoli. Mazzarri commented on his fine match: “He has become useful in the defensive parts of the game and has improves his shooting.” Kovacic was the heart of the Nerazurri and acted as a reference point, which opened up space for his teammates in the middle of the pitch. The only thing missing is goals but they will come. Next Sunday is the test and Mateo is ready.

We might like or dislike, defend or attack some players, coach or anything. But a fan attack or insulting another fan? Well that’s the most disgusting, and reading the comments below, people know who’s the one who start insulting and using the stupid words LoL.
Mazzari knows how to coach, , we should be calm.
Mazzari never denied Kovacic talent, I think it was his lack of maturity to concentrate for 90 mins plus his defensive game that led to him start benching. Mazzari knows that when Kovacic gets his psychological aspect together the only way he is seeing the bench again is if he is injured. I didn’t want Kovacic benching because I know we are better in possession with him on the pitch, but it’s obvious that Mazzari’s plans worked but it’s too late
Before he’s benched by Mazzari, Kovacic rarely defends. Mazzari himself has points that several time But now, Kovacic throw more tackles, making foul & intercepting passes. Overall defeding skill is so much better. Even vs Parma & Sampdoria he’s the player who make the most tackle. He even make more shot & actually getting better at it. Face it, Mazzari making him a better & more complete player.
Nope, it’s due to his hardworking himself to win over Mazzarri stubbornness. Even the head of this news tell us like that, it’s Kovacic who won over Mazzarri. Like i said not too far below, Mazzarri track record is speak for himself, he’s not youth star raiser, even if i didn’t like him i speak the fact by that, just like Mou isn’t good with ‘rough’ players. If De Boer, Wenger, Pep, or Strama or anyone else who well-known with youth is our coach and people says thanks for the coach for developing Kovacic then i agree.
Even if it’s Mourinho is our coach now, i won’t praise him, because he is good with instant players not youth, so same thing goes for Mazzarri. Again, his character is one of the worst i’ve ever seen. Cocky and so full of self pride while never once being humble and wise and that’s the sole reason i hate him, nothing about Kovacic at all. And with such attitudes it’s definitely not him who develop Mateo.
hohohoho what a genius one you are, the typical who read the title only. “There was little space provided by Mazzarri due to Kovacic’s lack of effectiveness in defense.”, “The progress of Kovacic this season is due to a variety of factors, which he has worked on and will continue to work on at Pinetina with Mazzarri. First and foremost was his ability to contribute when Inter are not in possession of the ball.”. again, only stupid people wouldn’t admit how he has improve and who to thanks for his improvement.
Who says i didn’t read all? You are the one who missed the points. It says he was work with Mazzarri means he is working to make himself move Mazzarri, read the whole paragraph carefully and you will find it repeated twice that it was Kovacic who works harder.
About what i said below you too didn’t understand it, after Kovacic says incovenient, he knows he is wrong so he didn’t do the same mistakes and praise the coach after that, that’s respect. “we learn from them, etc etc” isn’t sweet talking? Haha funny.
Well, Messi in his early days are not the same with Kovacic today? Did he already complete lol? Thats the same rough jewel they are. Haha again, silly.
Yes Ajax is great for their academy, so what? Can De Boer maintain and continue develop them? Yes he did. Am I right? Yes I am.
Arsene best days is with Adams only? That’s called offense to the football world, countless youths are promoted by him to become jewels. He only did young policy when they start building new stadium u say? Well that’s a blunder by you man, let say that you’re right, he only did his policy since that time (i almost laugh though) but he succeed right? Lots of young and cheap players become stars right? So I’m right again he’s qualified for youngsters.
Strama? He won the next gen, means he can’t maintain youth? Haha. Only Juan and Kovacic too you said? Well they both are the most success so more highlighted, but actually Strama gave more chances FAR more than Mazzarri to some youth even for some times, and it’s a fact. And if he stays actually we can see more of it. I’m right again am i?
Now can Mazzarri do the same to maintain not to mention develop youths like that 3 persons above? Perhaps, who knows? But he must first fixed himself.
Now let me explain about humble, humble is not about praising ONLY, thats sweet talking. Humble are mainly talking about our own self. So, does Mazzarri ever take any blame and fault when it happens towards himself? No, it’s always the players, ref, and everything, just not himself. So is that what called humble? No.
So, where’s my mistakes? No, im right about everything i said. Who’s stupid then?
And if you read below, it’s not about Kovacic that i hate Mazzarri, it’s about Mazzarri himself. Lets say there is no Kovacic at Inter and he still did the very same thing, i will still hate him, and same reasons goes for everyone who blame Mazzarri here i believe. If only he is bit wiser, he’ll be loved more.
Next time cool down before replying so you won’t look stupid after that.
Now I’ll say, everyone who can’t see and say that Mazzarri attitude is inappropriate means they’re being silly.
It says he was work with Mazzarri means he is working to make himself move Mazzarri? what? now i’m pretty sure you are stupid. it said he work with mazzarri, that means he was working with mazzarri under mazzarri’s guide as this part said “will continue to work on at Pinetina with Mazzarri”. really funny how you interpret that thing. hahahaha.
he praise the coach after his game against samp, and he didn’t just praise him, he praise the coach for helping him improves himself. couldn’t even read that couldn’t you? hahahaha.
o yes messi was a rough material back then, that was why i said without his coach back then he wouldn’t become as what he is now. the same as ronaldo and as any talented players. they need their coach to develop and their coach had much part in their improvement. that is the same case as kovacic where mazzarri helping him to improve himself. unlike that stupid statement of yours where you said messi will still be messi whoever the coach was.
de boer? let’s see, there were many coaches who had take over ajax and they still produce some great star. is it the coach? yeah right.
which young player under wenger who became star players? fabregas? nasri? chamberlain? walcott? were they came from inside the club? NO. wenger bought all of them. they had shown their talent even before wenger bought them. give these two coaches a team like reggina or livorno then see if they can buy mediocre young players with very limited money and bad academy and develop them to a star players. hahahaha.
now then about strama. next gen? ow i’m really laughing out loud your mentioning about that. did these next gen playing in some real league and some real tournament? our academy had already known to be good even before he took them. if he succeed brought even only one of those next gen players and develop them into some real player then i would say he is good in developing young players. but the fact is he is not. last year we had more youngsters than this year. juan, kovacic, benassi, mbaye, duncan, livaja, obi, not to mention cou. how many chance they got? only juan kova who was a regular. where were the others? did he ever give them starting spot even after those terrible injury plague? again BIG NO. and what about this year? we only had juan, kovacic, icardi, taider, belfodil, botta. and those first three are a regular starter now. while taider had so many chances as starter earlier in the season, belfodil disappointing, and botta still needs to improve his fitness and adapt to this club and league. so which one better? anyone with sane mind would say that mazzarri still do better with these young players than what strama did last year. then you said “Perhaps, who knows?” but your previous reply stating those three can do 10x better than mazzarri. hahahaha. another contradicting statement while also saying some imajinary things. hahahaha. no wonder.
now about that humble thing. as i said earlier a double standard. when kova praise mazzarri, it was humble and respect. but when mazzarri does the same to kova than it’s not. hahahaha so predictable. does mazzarri ever take any blame? apparently he did. as what he did in preseason. wait, you wouldn’t acknowledged this wouldn’t you? now let me ask which coach who blame himself when it was obvious that it was the players who couldn’t finish the chances they got, or the ref who wouldn’t give us an obvious penalty. please do tell me which coach does that?
your mistake? so much that i’ve lost count. ow you’re stating it yourself that you hate him. that’s why you wouldn’t even acknowledged anything good that he made in this team. hahahahaha, so obvious that was. now please use your brain more would you, that is if you had some brain left, instead of blindly hating someone like a silly girl. hahahaha
kovacic is better, you should play him since we start the session.
WM, you need to open your mind regarding the line up and also formation, please consider also Botta and others youngsters.
The fact that our coach use Kovacic himself is a miracle, he is cornered and dunno what to do, so when he didn’t have any cards anymore, here comes Kovacic, thankfully Kovacic is doing quite good enough. WM ass is saved thanks to Kovacic. But again, miracle won’t happen twice, so i pity Botta, he won’t play except Hernanes, Taider, Guarin or and Alvarez injured or doing fatal mistakes at the same time, LoL
I’m so happy that Mazzarri changed his mind about both Icardi and Kovacis I hope give Botta the chance and replace him with Icardi or Palacio I think our squad has more hidden skilled players that need to be discovered
another good thing, is andreolli, but not only in terms of defense, but also offense. to keep possession and create constant attacks in a formation with 3 at a back, defenders SHOULDN’T throw long balls just like that. andreolli can keep possession well so attack can really flow through every position on the pitch.
CM or AM, those are several meters difference and it was never a thing that actually mattered. the most important thing for him was getting that ball. he is strong and agile enough to roll over players behind him, however without possession he was quite useless. now, he is somewhere between those two positions, moving constantly off the ball in order to get it and is working in defense too. i have to admit, mazzarri integrated him well. his movement and decisions make more sense now :).
when the player didn’t play because of his own inability, all the fault are for the coach. but when the player improves so much because of that same coach, these same bitch people wouldn’t even bother to acknowledged that coach. hahahahaha. so funny this kovacisti are
HaHa improved? Thanks to his humble self and hardwork that he’s improved, if it is De Boer or Wenger who coach him then we can say thanks to the coach that he is improved. Mazzarri? For a coach that doesnt goes well with youths you can’t say thanks for Kovacic improvement, you silly.
Go read Lele Orialli statement that “THERE’S NOTHING NEW ABOUT KOVACIC” means it’s no surprise about him playing well, its just Mazzarri blindness or stupidity i’ve got no idea.
only stupid people wouldn’t admit how he has improve and who to thanks for his improvement. even he himself said it about mazzarri “I’m happy he’s here and that I can learn more.”, “We have learned so much from him.”, and he even acknowledged his own mistake against rube “The first goal was my fault, I didn’t track Lichtsteiner.” even after these kovacic fans didn’t admit it. again, only stupid people wouldn’t admit how he has improve and who to thanks for his improvement
Ever heard about humble and respect? What Kovacic is saying to Mazzarri are purely those, before that, he is stating how inconvenient he is for not playing much, but then again he realize his mistakes by not giving Mazzarri enough respect because even though you didn’t like your condition, a boss is still a boss you should respect, That’s why he thanked Mazzari.
Want me to gave you some example? There’s so many players who talk respect and sweet about their clubs or coach or else, but when they moved? Poisonous words is spreading. Nearest example is Coutinho.
Another point is talent is permanent, Messi will always Messi whoever the coach is, same thing goes to Kovacic. Except the coach is known for developing youth like I said above, but Mazzari (just like Mou only Mou are more MUCH wiser than him) didn’t, so credit not belong to him regarding of players development (mainly skill).
Okay as comparison, let say that Mazzarri developing Kovacic is true, I’d say if it’s De Boer, Wenger, or even Strama, Kovacic will be 10 times better than what he is with Mazzarri now.
The coach and Kovacic is two different character, one with so high godly things and speech (gimme a break), one are very religious and so humble, easy to say which one is better person. Now I ask, have Mazzarri ever spoke humbly ever once before? I don’t think so. But I guess you didn’t know how to become humble don’t you? your words says it all, poor you.
“Messi will always be messi, and same thing goes for kovacic”? So now kovacic is like messi.. Hahahaha funny shit
humble and respect? let me laugh at that. if he just talking sweet saying mazzarri is a good coach bla bla bla bla and something like that, then that is pure respect. but if he said we learn from him, then that is a fact. and you’re obviously contradicting your self about him have humble and respect but then saying he did not give mazzarri enough respect.
now about talent. messi will never be messi as he is right now if not for his past coaches. the same case as ronaldo would never be this good if not for fergie. and you couldn’t even differ which is talent (still a raw material) and which is a done product by comparing him to messi.
hohohoho your comparing mazzarri to de boer, wenger, strama? which team de boer ever coach? only ajax? a team which already famous for their academy. what about wenger? when was his best years? it was when he had his tony adams and his old guard. he was known for his young policy just when arsenal started to build their own stadium and he don’t have much money to spend. and then we’ll go to strama. which young player your saying? juan? kovacic? who else? juan? kovacic? another young player that he develop? juan? kovacic? only these two. yeah, right, strama known for developing youth. let me laugh at that.
mazzarri and humble? let me think. he praise his players almost in every post match for their performance. is that humble enough for you? wait, i’m pretty sure you wouldn’t acknowledged that as a sign of his humble don’t you? because that is mazzarri, the person who will always do wrong for you and for your kind of people no matter what he did
I’m fully agree with you. Also it’s useless to speak with somebody who thought that he is smart and easily think of other people are stupid but it turns out that he’s the one with small brain isn’t it? He will just run and ignore your replies I bet LoL.
And i’m talking to you eiryk dude, silly me wrong reply LoL
well who we have here? oh these stupid people are here it seems 😀 as usual, whenever there is kovacic news thats where they will be together. they are kovacicisti after all 😀
Call me stupid then..
you are stupid. done. satisfy?
still young and improving, for a young midfielder like him with such talent it’s importantn to make him improving in all sector, it might take some time but he begin to show the result of his willingness to learn and mazzarri teach him in a right way .. he’ll be a complete midfielder in 2-3 years, and i hope he have a long career with inter.
It took half of the season for you to realize? Bravo, Mister!
better late than never right 😀
If he gave the trust and time to Kovacic way earlier we can be at better position on the table.
Face it. His work rate and defensive contribution was quite bad for a CM (he said it himself that he is a CM not an AM). Now he is better on those aspects.
Make that 35 games..
