Later this month Erick Thohir will meet with Walter Mazzarri to define the future of Inter. This morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the meeting will not only discuss the mercato but also address the issue which has the potential to destabilise: A contract renewal. There is little speculation linking other names with the Inter bench which is a good sign for Mazzarri, however there is the possibility of tension if Mazzarri’s contract situation is not clarified. The coach has just 12 months remaining on his current deal. Alongside this there is the mercato, a summer full of expectations but a budget with little money. All of this will be discussed at the end of this month.

It’s not like a team is going to come running for Mazzarri. He won’t coach out of Italy. Juve, Napoli, Roma and the Viola would be stupid to hire him over their current coaches. Mazzarri would be a fool to think about going to Milan. And why would he want to move to a smaller team?

I dont understand why we always said hot temper and have no patience. I really dont get it,how should be patient if bad results was handled by same tactics,players,approach,mentality and formation? Even if that is coach rights,why he afraid trying some things new? Are our players so bad? Are they stupid enough to understand the coach? How if just sell half of entire squad and then buy just 11 players like WM’s favourites? Moreover,correct me if i’m wrong,WM said proudly that he always fulfill his contract and never be fired before contract ends in a interview on this site,so what is the urgency of a contract extension?
It ain’t morattis fault it is the fans fault, because most of the fans dont have any patience. Everybody wanted strama fired, instead of giving him time. We have been spoiled as fans as soon as we didn’t like anything moratti did as the fans wanted to do!

This is all morattis fault in a way. Why did he fire strama and replace him with WM and just give him 2 year if he was so sure of him…. He hasn’t done better than strama, In fact if strama was still the coach this year I think we would have done better because he at least had balls to take chances unlike the coward Mazzari. Now things could go messy if thohir doesn’t want to renew until he sees results and Mazzari feels threatened by this….however it will be a mess…hope thohir is a better negotiator than moratti…
The club being in this mess fighting for 5th!!! and being broke is noones fault but Moratti´s!!! In his almost 20 years with the club he did NOTHING to make the club self-sustainable!
Moratti thought like a fan and acted like one as well!! That is why during his spell at inter some people hated him at times and loved him at times (two extremes).. He will always be loved by a true interista as he brought us many successes and spent his own money to do that.. However, as Financial Fair play came into account moratti realised he needs a rationale business man and not a dreamer.. thats why thohir is here..
What needs to be done now is to change the mentality of inter fans as being impatient and always wanting change if a coach, player or staff member made a mistake.. we are all human.. we have to come back to reality and think inter as a club thinks about the long term rather than short term. (there must be a vision)
