Mateo Kovacic was interviewed by Mediaset Premium’s Matteo Barzaghi about the rumours that have been surrounding him recently.
“I can only repeat what I always say, that I’m happy here and everyone’s pleased with how I’m doing. I really like being here. Icardi and I are young players who still have a lot to learn and we can do that with Inter. I’ve always been positive, even when I wasn’t in the team I trained well and I’ve learned a lot with the coach and his staff. I’m doing more for the team this season. It’s been a difficult year for everyone, but better than the last. My family have helped me, along with everyone here at La Pinetina. I can’t say anyone in particular, maybe Deki who always calls me and Zanetti. Us young players are lucky to work with stars like them.”
“My first goal? I really want to because I like scoring goals, but it’s tough in Italy to find the space to score goals. Can I promise the fans a goal next season? Absolutely, I have to score of course. Can I become a player like Marek Hamsik? I’m Mateo, Hamsik can definitely do things I can’t yet but if I want to score I need to play like I did against Lazio: play passes and get into shooting positions. I’m young, I’ve got a lot to learn.”
Kovacic also decided to put an end to the rumours which have been circulating that he doesn’t get along well with Mazzarri: “All I can say is I’ve always enjoyed a good relationship with him. He’s taught me a lot, how to put my foot in defensively and move when going forward. I think Inter need to go with him for the club to start winning trophies again. Do Inter need to be back in the Champions League places next season? Yes, Inter can’t be happy with fifth place, we always need to aim as high as we can.”
“World Cup? “I’m thinking about it but there’s still the last game of the season against Chievo to play. Next season we need to prepare well to bring Champions League football back to the Meazza.”

While reading all the comments below, I see that the difference between every fan it’s not only the view of supporting but also his view and understanding about football in general. I always liked my team board to support the coach and the fans support the team board ! If Thohir or Ausilio comes out tomorrow and say “We support Mazzarri” we ALL must fuckin support him no matter what. Maybe we will support him and he fails, then we have the right to judje him. But only when he has done! Be careful, when I say support him no matter what I dont mean dont critize !!!
any sane mind will think that because he couldn’t read anyone mind he would assume that what kovacic said is true. that he really has nothing bad about the coach, that the coach helped him to improve his weakness, and that he wanted the coach to stay. but that is a sane normal people would do. and if other people think otherwise, than it would just prove how stupid and irrational they are placing hatred in front of any rational logical mind. what a really really stupid people those are
any sane man also know that this real world isnt as simple as it is. and like my comments below, why does Coutinho (i can tell you many other names if you want too if you want it, lol) speak like an angel when he play for Inter but do the contrary poisonous words about Inter when he moved to liverpool? can you explain? can you guarantee that every words coming out from every football player, or even every sportsmen around the world is 100% truth? no you cant, then i supposed you wrote about yourself as “really really those ‘s’ word” right there.

This is professional worlds, and professional words is what needed in this worlds. keeping the environment as good as it be is a must. and good talking about your club when you play there is nothing new. look at Coutinho before he left, im fine, i want to stay here, nothing wrong with the club, im still young and developed well here, etc. when he arrived at liverpool? its totally a different poisonous words. should i gave you more examples? nah, you can look for yourself.

No i can’t read mind, but his words are more likely to be true than some random fans pure assumption. Doesn’t matter how much Kovacic speak good things about Mazzari, an anti will denied it. I know that your an interisti and have your own view, i respect that, but that doesn’t mean i can’t critize your views. If there’s a fans who throw banana & sing racist chant in the stadium couldn’t we critize them because they have right to express their way of supporting ?

Maikel as an interista you should not attack someone who supports inter.. We all have different views, we share, we learn and even if we don’t.. In the end respect between interista is essential.. If there’s no respect then no one would respect your views or listen..

I support Chelsea, Inter and Mourinho for example. Those are 3 mutually exclusive entities though. It just happens that Mou manages Chelsea like he once did Inter. I strongly dislike Bayern, Man Utd, PSG (who’ve basically built their squad from serie a stars), Juventus and Milan. I don’t support Mazzarri and if that makes me a fake supporter all i’d say is you’re entitled to your opinion.

Moratti had a record of offering his support to coaches and then firing them. We don’t have experience of Thohir in this regard but it’s perfectly possible
I think we should run down Mazzarri’s contract tbh. At least we wouldn’t need to pay out massive compensation like with Benitez. But hey that’s just my opinion.
