TS: Behrami’s arrival would not rule out Xhaka?

According to Tuttosport the impending arrival of Valon Behrami at Inter does not rule out the possibility that Granit Xhaka can still join from Borussia M’Gladbach. The former West Ham man Behrami agreed terms with Inter before flying off to the World Cup, now he is hopeful that the clubs can reach agreement on a transfer. Napoli asks for €10 million which is viewed as being excessive by Inter but the Milan based club does hold the upper hand after already sealing a deal with the player. Meanwhile there is a meeting planned with Xhaka’s club this week and Piero Ausilio will be hoping to insert a player into the deal in order to lower the cost. Mazzarri does not see Xhaka as a Cambiasso replacement but the Swiss international would fit very well within Inter’s project going forward.
