Mercato expert, Carlo Laudisa, from the “Gazetta dello Sport” spoke about the tug of war taking place between Juve and Inter for defender Andrea Ranocchia. The current Inter player has yet to accept a contract renewal with the club and the journalist took to twitter to explain why. Laudisa indicated that Juventus have made an offer to Ranocchia that is higher than the proposal offered by Inter and this could corner the Nerazzurri.

Ok, here it goes: I’m not really sure abou Ranocchia at all. In my oppinion, football-wise, he is nothing more than average defender. Nothing more, nothing less. Alltho I do not know what kind of character he is off the pitch and if he has the attitude off a leader/captain or not.

I would prefer to keep Rano, but not at all cost. If its really true he wants to play hard to get and is tempted by going to juve (of all teams) then Inter should cash in on him now. We should only have players who are 100% committed to the project.
When he’s good, he is good, but he is to often inconsistent, and definitely not irreplaceable.
And this is just another reason why Rano shouldn’t be captain. Make Handanovic captain..
I completely agree with you.Both about renewal and captaincy .About the renewal, in the second part of the season he was good but he’s definitely not irreplaceable .As for captaincy Handa should be our captain.He has never expressed the desire to leave even though two top teams wanted him in the past.(Man. City,Barca).
