Former Viola player Gianluca Comotto spoke about two of his former teammates who have both been linked to a move to Inter in the summer mercato, Jovetic and Behrami. The former Fiorentina player indicated that Jovetic might be a difficult target due to the financial requirements of such a deal. Moreover, Comotto indicated that Man City is unlikely to let go of the player at this stage in the summer; however, at the end of August anything is possible. Comotto continued, explaining that Jovetic has technical characteristics that match perfectly with Mazzarri’s style of play. Not to mention he is humble and ambitious and likes to play. Because of this a return to the Serie A may not be impossible, even without Champions League football, as Jovetic desires to play with continuity and after the season he has had he may no longer be considered a top player at top clubs.
Comotto also gave advice on the purchase of Valon Behrami, who is currently plying his trade at Napoli. He explained that if Mazzarri were looking for someone to play in front of the defense like De Rossi then Behrami would be ideal.
