According to mercato expert, Alfredo Pedullà, the proposed loan of Manchester City player Stevan Jovetic to Inter has been rejected. Currently Man City is not open to the idea of a loan as they are also in the process of sorting out their attacking department for next season. They must first decide if Dzeko will renew and because of this the Jovetic deal is on stand-by.

I think Dzeko will renew after this season, and they might even invest in another player for the attack (nothing dramatic, because of FFP), after which they might want to ease up on their wage bill, which means Jovetic could leave.
Whether Inter will be strong enough to get him is a different question altogether.
