In an interview on “Sky Sport” Luca Marchetti talked about the latest rumors that have Vidic wearing the captain’s armband for Inter next season. Marchetti indicated that we would know more about this situation tomorrow after the new defender is presented and he conducts his press conference.
As for David Astori, there was a meeting that took place today between Inter and Cagliari but they did not talk about his future in particular. The player is set to receive a proposal for a new contract; however, both Inter and Lazio have shown interest in the player.

A captain should be a player that transmits the coaches ideas into the pitch, and obviously the other characteristics as leadership, consistent, knows how to use their temper ..etc
In my opinion, Rano should not be captain , he does not have the right characteristics. I am really thinking inter are doing this mostly because his italian and so he wont go for free to juve next year.
Vidic has the right characterisics from A-Z. However, It might not do well with the team as he just arrived and does not know the players that well.

Agree with both of you, the Captainsy should not be a token of loyalty, or even given to the “star”player…it should be given to the natural leader of the team.

Position is not a matter at all. New player? It’s serie-a, no big deal. Hernanes and Juan not a leader type player. Ranocchia is not even a starter. It’s either Vidic, Palacio or Samir will bear that armband.

Much rather him than Rano. Armband should be given to a leader and consistent player, not a jojo-player like Rannochia.
