CdS: Inter accelerate for Medel as Marseille’s interest emerges

According to this morning’s Corriere dello Sport, Inter will attempt to tie up a deal for Cardiff’s Gary Medel amid interest from Marseille. The relegated Premier League side have rejected Inter’s initial loan proposal and now the Nerazzurri will attempt to pay for the Chilean midfielder in installments. Marcelo Bielsa is keen to have Medel join him in the south of France so Piero Ausilio will need to move quickly. Other names mentioned for the midfield are Lyon’s Clement Grenier (wanted by Milan) and Udinese’s dynamic Argentinian Roberto Pereyra. However, neither of these two players would provide Mazzarri with the characteristics Medel possesses.
