Nemanja Vidic made an impressive debut during Inter’s victory (on penalties over Real Madrid) in their opening International Champions Cup fixture. Gazzetta dello Sport notes that this was a pleasant surprise for Inter especially considering what had preceded the game. Walter Mazzarri had mentioned that the Serbian may only have 60 minutes in the tank so to see him play and do well for 90 minutes was a bonus. It was also Vidic’s first real test in a back 3, something he is unfamiliar with throughout his career. On Tuesday will come the litmus test, against his former team Manchester United.

This Vidic signing reminds me a lot of the Lucio signing in the summer of 09, both world class players that some people prematurely thought were finished. He’s going to have a great season this year, maybe even next year too!
Look’s like great signing after first game. Ranocchia and Juan don’t have as much pressure playing next to Vidic, because that guy is a leader. Hopefully he doesn’t get injured too much.
Where are those people who mock the signing of vidic? Those who said vidic is finish player, too old etc?

he should score againts manchester united, and not celebrate, but just score 🙂
