Nemanja Vidic made an impressive debut during Inter’s victory (on penalties over Real Madrid) in their opening International Champions Cup fixture. Gazzetta dello Sport notes that this was a pleasant surprise for Inter especially considering what had preceded the game. Walter Mazzarri had mentioned that the Serbian may only have 60 minutes in the tank so to see him play and do well for 90 minutes was a bonus. It was also Vidic’s first real test in a back 3, something he is unfamiliar with throughout his career. On Tuesday will come the litmus test, against his former team Manchester United.
