Why do Inter think they can offer less than a player is worth – the other 3 clubs have offered the asking price – Inter think their name means they don’t have to pay!
Little do they know about cardiff – if they don’t pay they don’t get the player.
What Inter knows, and what I’m sure Cardiff knows, is that for a deal to happen there are two things that have to be done: 1. An agreement between the clubs has to be reached. 2. The player has to approve of the new club and reach an agreement with them. If Medel doesn’t approve of the other 3 clubs and only wants Inter there are only two things that can happen: 1. Cardiff lower their asking price and let the player leave. 2. Cardiff keeps insisting on their asking price and keep the player, a player who wants to leave for Inter. Since Bosman it’s really the player’s who have the power. Inter is not cheaper than other clubs, in a a negotiation you always try to get the best price possible. In this case Inter have two things in their favor: 1. The player wants to go to Inter. 2. Cardiff aren’t playing in the Premier League.
