As reported by TuttoSport, Erick Thohir and Piero Ausilio had a long dialogue with the leaders of Manchester United after last night’s game. They attempted to open a negotiation for Mexican striker Javier Hernandez and the offer would be a direct swap for Fredy Guarin. Previously United have insisted on cash for Hernandez but the Nerazzurri are insisting on a straight swap deal.

This must be a joke. Manchester United buy him after strong performance on the World Cup in South Africa, when he was young rising star for about 7 millions. Now he was deep sub for Mexico in Brazil, he’s last choice for attack in United and we want give them Guarin, who’s value is at least twice than they paid for Hernandez. Hernandez is overrated, he’s mediocre player and i can’t see the reason why we want him?
I don’t see why utd want Guarin tbh. It’s quite simple-neither player is top of the pecking order at their current club; neither is a World Cup star; both will have more plYing time at a new club. A players value is only what someone will pay. If we declare Kovacic a 100 million euro asset it doesn’t make him worth that much. Not unless Real or someone actually pay 100 million
You’re right that market defined the value, but i am sure that we can take around 15 million for Guarin. And with that kind of money we can buy much better forward than mediocre Hernandez. That’s the point. I don’t want to mention he’s salary which will be too high for a sub. And we need players which can develop not like Hernandez whos over he’s prime.
