In Chile they are certain, ADN Radio has announced the news that “Gary Medel is an Inter player”. The two sides had become considerably closer during this week and the gap between supply and demand had been reduced to €500k. All that is left is the official announcement from the two clubs which should arrive shortly.

hey this article is already on page 2.. move to medel’s article on page 1 and continue bashing each other there
Zoki.a football is round have you ever been to a game ?
This comment section is hilarious. Let me be a part of it lol
Is this the most comments i’ve ever seen yet…??? lol… Just be part of us mate…
Btw how we call cardiff fans…??? Cardiffians…??? lol…
Cardiffians – is the term for people from Cardiff.
Zoki.take.the glasses off your pussys.head.put them on your head cardiff.are.in the championship.not div 2
Buzz off looser, who cares
You are really stupid aren’t you? 2nd division is FL Championship, so I don’t know how I got it wrong. Now scoot back to your Cardiff site so you can theorize how to get back in to the first league hahahaha.
Zoki – there is a league 2 which the 4th tier in the football league – so once again you are wrong.
Yes, but the Championship is the second division in English football, the same way Serie B is the second division in Italian football.
Right my Inter friends I’m off now.
I’m sure you will get your man as we all know.
Anyway good luck for next season.
I’ve enjoyed my afternoon on your board, I’m sorry if I’ve upset anyone, but at the end of the day it’s only banter any noone gets hurt.
For those who have to personally insult – “get a grip mun!”
You make a good friend when you fought harder, they said.
Dude became gentle in the end, so you earn my respect for that.
Anyway the deals seems finally done and curtain gonna be close on this Medel saga.
Cheers for your Cardiff on the upcoming season.
@Zoki Friday August 1st, 2014 at 05:34 PM –
I wasn’t saying Milan were better than Inter, I was replying to the post saying “anyone who thinks Milan are better than Inter knows nothing about italian football”
Inter according to the table and results are “slightly” better than Milan – not the statement of a retard [ bythe way why do you have to insult? ]
The comment about two bald guys still applies.
I insult? You came to OUR page to insult everyone about how cheap we are at that our club is poor and stuff. Anyway, Inter won 4 of last 6 derbies, while Milan won 1. We finished higher and had +23 goal difference opposed by +8 from Milan. We are having European football next season and Milan doesn’t. Do I need to say more?
Zoki – I didn’t call you names.
Yes I insulted your club – but it’s only banter, calling people names is childish.
warmest welcome to Cardiff City fan, lets close this argues with a simple thought that the done deal would be reached if both parties agree. Once their agreed, there is nothing we can do but save our energy to do something useful, p e a c e
agreed.
good luck next season – with or without Medel
BREAKING: Medel wants to pay the 500k different from his own pocket to finish thi ssaga and leave Cardiff asap..MEGALOL
Dear Cardiiff fans! He is desperate to leave,so please stop spamming our side and accept that he wants to play only for INTER cause this is a like dream come true for him
Good for Gary , Good for Inter and Good for Cardiff.
Aren’t you just a bit embarassed that a player has to pay out of his own pocket rather than the club pays out of theirs?
If I was the player I’d be thinking – How much do they really want me?
Perhaps he sees inter as a stepping stone to something better, much like how he saw us….
Aren’t you embarrassed that a player will pay 0,5 million € just to leave your club?
No, he’s made it clear he want to go to Milan – good luck to him.
It’s not about stopping him going – it’s about paying the asking price for him.
Unless the asking price is overpriced like in this case.
Excellent.
Everybody happy.
I wonder if he will play for free as well?
you must be so salty , its not even pretty anymore xDD
sorry explain “salty” – I don’t understand ?
is in an insult or something?
I was being serious in my post.
If he wants inter that badly perhaps he would play for nothing….
He will pay even for the laundry and the petrol plus buy a year’s ticket for the underground
lets hope he doesn’t have to…..I think his laundry bill would be quite big with all the tackling he did at the world cup…
Why would Medel want to join the second best club in Milan?
Huh? Never seen any news about Medel close to AC Milan, could you direct me to your source?
second best?? whatever.. keep watching porn and stay idiot
at the end of the day we will get medel, even though we don’t have 10mil and offering a low salary.. it’s called “selling a dream” to a player.. funny isn’t it?? but yeah just wait and see
I agree you probably will get Medal – at what price? Thats to be seen.
I agree you have sold him a dream, although whether he will still see it that way if he knows that a club like Inter that “want him so bad” wouldn’t pay an extra £1m for him….
actually you speak more politely than those spurs faggot.. I respect you for that.. and medel will be just fine, don’t worry
I’m not worried.
we either get £10m or Medal stays for Cardiff it’s Win – Win.
HE IS WORTH 10 TO 15 MIL ALL DAY LONG . CARDIFF DO NOT NEED YOUR MONEY.I THINK 10 MIL IS A GOOD PRICE. SO PAY UP
NEVAR!
Can someone tell me what cardiff city means? is this a cricket team ? is this a website ? is this an application on play store? haha why are these people so buthurt? can you see a player of gary medel`s level playing in championship next season? no he needs a team with great history a team that`s competing in europa next season a top club that`s ready to complete for scudetto. It`s nice to see this year`s inter making transfers how we want them not always accepting what other club wants . This is the inter that will be succesfull because we changed our management and int few years time we`ll change our team to a competitive club , back were we belong . Grande thohir grande inter . Grande Interisti !!
I agree – he should go to Juve.
Definetely not juve wont shine next season without conte they must change their club name too cause it will be a whole different jube .
wow 73 comments
Interesting Diego Simione [ if thas how you spell it ] has Gary Medal in his team of the World Cup – the only player he’s selected from outside of the German & Argentine teams….
I wonder if he’ll put an offer in?
This Cardiff fans…no disrespect but if the player wants to leave that’s the end of the deal. You will lose money if you keep a player in the bench or unhappy. He is just not worth more than 10m. He will go for 7m or 8m max.
With respect Chris. If you also dont qualify for the champions league, you going to be in a hell of a financial meltdown and have to sell more of your best players.
I think we are in a strong enough financial position to let stay on the bench or play for at least a few months until the january transfer window opens again…And in which time we could get at least the meagre amount you offered then,
I know he wants to play for inter, but the club will do whats best for the club not the player…
Andy, I dont think you understand. If he wants to leave he will leave. I know as a fan you want to keep him. But the best for club with an unhappy player is to let him go. That way you get a good amount of money and move on. Sign another player that qualifies. You never win keeping and unhappy player. Inter is not what it was in the 00’s finnancially but we can pay more than 10m hes jus not worth that kind of money. We understand we need to be in the CL and hopefully we will be next year either by getting to 3rd or winning the EL. Inter will come back.
@Mike – re ” How many visits have Cardiff performed to the lower divisions?”
Many, many times – but we’ve also been promoted Many, Many times – I guess you have one the league now and again and that is a great achievement – but so is promotion.
Yes we are a smaller club than Inter – no arguement there.
It’s great you’ve never been relegated – not many teams can boast that – and if you’re happy with that and being poor thats fine.
I’m happy with my club as well – hopefully we will get promoted again this year and feel the thrill and excitement of that.
Wow I mean, yeah, congrats to you, you managed to climb out of 2nd league many times. That is really better than always upper half of 1. Italian divison, no doubt. And I’d rather cheer for a “poor”(like you say, which is not even true because you have no knowledge on the topic) club that has rich history and managed to qualify for Europe than a “rich” 2nd league club LOL.
Zoki – I am so glad you are happy.
Now get your manager to write the cheque and we can all move on.
Btw, we’ve been in “Europe” a few times as well.
Got treble?
Yeah, that’s why I’m advising you rampaging at someone else team’s fan page just makes you looks like another retarded lost cause.
No need to repeat my self anymore. We have made our bargain and your team seems accepted it.
No disrespect towards your team, but we’re up for challenge of bashing someone who dares flaming at our site.
Just a simple rule in everyday community.
@AA – yep I’d do the same.
@ Dave, I’m sure that you’re fully aware that besides the top flight Serie A, the Italian league also have lower divisions Serie B, Serie C1 and C2. In fact, every other big teams such as Juventus and Milan have all been relegated to Serie B at one time or another. Only Inter have a clean unrelegated record, always staying on the top flight. Secondly, it’s not that Inter is currently short on cash, but we’re saving our money to buy a top class forward, which are offcourse expensive. You know, FFP and stuff. So it’s money management more than anything else. When you have transfer targets like Jovetic, Cerci, and Javier Hernandez, it’s always a good idea to have some spare cash at hand, don’t you think?
I agree, I have you ever played “Football Manager”?
If so you’ll know that if you have £75m and you want to buy a forward and a defender – then you can buy a £70m forward and a £5m defender, or you close a lower priced forward so you can get the £10m defender you want.
You can’t have both.
But if the transfer window is still long, it’s not a problem if you try to haggle down the price, is it? This is where technical directors or transfer gurus come in. The better he is, the more likely he can keep costs low. In Inter, his name is Piero Ausillio, and we’re letting him do his job.
not a problem trying to haggle down.
Nor is there a problem in trying to get the most money either.
HAHAHAH
LOL, all these cardiff fans are so hilarious.
Cardiff City fan here. Italians are hilarious, with their restricted height, cowardice, joke of a football league and lack of cash.
Buddy, win a bunch of trophies in Europe and in u our domestic league then share your 2c.
cardiff are they the football team ????
Cricket club. Provincial.
you can insult us all you like, I don’t give a sh!t what some idiot in italy thinks of me or my club.
But I do take objection when they think that because “We are Inter” we can do what we want and get what we want.
Lets in honest – you’re not even the biggest club in Milan – we are a capital city and the biggest club in our city.
Well I guess the competition isn’t big since your 2nd league club is the biggest in city. And if you think Milan is better than Inter ATM, then you really don’t know shit about Italian football.
Zoki – I thought they won more games than you last year – you finished higher because you drew more.
Doesn’t exactly say you’re that much better than them.
anyway – arguing who is better milan or inter is like two bald guys arguing over a comb.
@Dave(couldn’t reply on your message): Now that is trully a retarded argument. We finished higher, and even if it mattered who won more, they won 1 more game but lost 5 more so yeah. If there were 2 teams, one 5th and one 7th(3 points away from 10th) and the latter one had more wins, everyone would pick the 5th. Or maybe you would pick the 7th since you have logic of a toddler.
Dave – the only person who is insulting is you…ypu came to our portal and blame our team and Italia..since this is english site why are you thinking we are Italians? Inter have hundred of million supporters all around the world,so please stay calm and go back to teh Cardiff blog
I did not insult anyone persanally on here until I or my club was insulted – I just posted facts.
My advise for you, get a reality check and accept the fact.
Rampaging at someone else team’s fan page just makes you looks like another retarded lost cause.
I know – but it’s fun!
Check the numbers. More inter fans than Milan fans. Next time you make an assumption Google it . Stop spewing hatred because medel doesn’t wanna stay at your trash club. Money doesn’t buy class punk
the irony is that out of all this, a once great club Inter Milan is looking to haggle over a key player because it has no money. Cardiff City dont have to sell, and certainly not for less than we paid. the release clause means he can leave to a club that meets our demands.
Its cool to hear people slagging off my club when they support a falling giant who cant afford their man……get that bank manager on the phone Inter, we dont trust Italian football, we want hard cash please.
Medel is not a key player for Inter, he will be a rotational player at most. And we can’t overspend like we used to, we have to spend carefully every penny, we only have a €50M transfer budget this market window.
All this gnashing of teeth is really not necessary, there are two simple facts. Medel wants to leave Cardiff for Inter and Cardiff will not let him rot on the bench as it is bad for business. When a player decides to leave that’s pretty much the end of it. As for Inter blogs / Italian journalists hyping up the transfer, I refer you to the British press and the overhyped Premier League. For your information much of the information regarding this has come from Chile but I guess they are just ‘hyping’ it also?
Ben, I don’t think we’d let him rot on the bench – he could do a job for us and help us back to the premier.
Also Gary is not the sort of disruptive player that would throw his toys out of the pram if he didn’t get his move – he’s not a prima-donna like some.
We’ve all seen his personality in the world cup.
The one fact is that Inter will not pay what Cardiff want, and unless inter change that stance I can’t see him going anywhere.
The difference between supply and demand is only € 500 K. It was around 2 millions a few weeks ago. I’m sure an agreement will be found shortly.
correct – now you’re getting to the point of paying what we asked all will be fine.
Medel will go to Inter,he has a medical on monday – even if you are against it you can nothing to do…good luck in the championship
My dad said “If you have not got the money then do not buy it”
Hope my club stick to their guns and get the money asked for. Personally I agree that Medel would not suit the Championship but it is a good, demanding tough league, not for the faint hearted.
Italian league will just hack Medel down, he’ll lose it and get booked or sent off.
Clearly you have not watch inter recently… Inter have crazy players such as Juan Jesus and Freddy Guarin who very rarely get sent off.
He doesn’t want shifty Cardiff. He wants to go to a club with history, so badly that he’s prepared to take a pay cut and pay the 0.5m difference. Just because we are in a transitional period and are a little lean in the funds department doesn’t make us fallen giants… its not like we got relegated.. hehe. Are you Cardiff fans on drugs? You’re in the championship… keep on chuggin along w that chicken run you call football
lol @ these cardiff fans…. when do you guys think will be the next time you’re back playing in 1st divsion?
12 months time.
when do inter think they will have any money?
Inter can buy your entire little club right now dude, Cardiff city is a joke
how do you work that out?
Even your management and fans say you cannot afford a £10M player?
Explain your comment with some facts rather than rhetoric and I might take you seriously
Well we are in a transition period, new sponsors, new management, new staff, fairly new manager, planing to buy the whole stadium or build new, paying up debts. Anyway, I guess you can’t understand since the only thing you can transition to is 2nd league.
Zoki – we too are in transition – adding new seats to the stadium, new manager etc etc.
and yes we are concentrating on re-gaining Promotion to the Premier League.
I don’t think you get it how our transition is so much bigger than just seats and a new manager. Let me tell you: New director, new global sponsor director, fairly new coach, paying up debts, new medical and training staff, new staff for organization(stadium, tickets and all that stuff they must arrange), stadium arragements,..
This has got to be the most over hyped transfer tap up for quite some time. All driven by the Italian press and Inter blogs/fans, etc.
Even the salary of €1.8m pa is very poor in today’s money (circa £28.7k per week)! Why would Medel want or agree to such a poor salary? I am sure that other clubs would pay him much more.
All Inter can offer is Champions League footy, though will go out prior to knock out stages.
If Cardiff let him go, then good luck to Medel and his excellent pass rate, albeit to his closest players for completion stats.
He has a 3 year contract with Cardiff and it’s their ultimate decision to let him go or not. Will he do well for Cardiff in the Championship, probably not as you get less time on the ball and likelihood that Medel would pick up more bookings and red cards.
Time will tell, though Cardiff hold all the Aces in this transfer!
I Agree Carl – it”s fun meeting Cardiff fans on an inter site – we should more to join….
Yea that’s funny. Enjoy the championship. Remind me to pick up a Cardiff jersey on ebay for when i run out of bathroom paper
Ooh, so cleaver and hurtful the Milan fans.
I’m off to cry now…..
The basic truth is That ur team is in great financial difficulty, not that he is not worth the money. And you need him.
Thats it,No more no less…And we are not in finanancial difficulty and he has 2 yrs of his contract left. regardless if he wants to play for you….
PAY THE MONEY CHEAPSKATES – OR GO AWAY!
Simple really.
Got treble?
They dont even have their own blog man..poor poor them..
you obviously dont know how to use google
I use google better than you kid, I typed your bullshit team’s name on google and then google said:”Are you fucking kidding me?..” HAHAHAHA
So smart buying is cheapskates? The player wants Inter, you just got demoted to 2nd league and need budget cuts. We will wait and pressure untill your management agrees 🙂
Zoki – sorry for the insult “cheapskate”.
We don’t need budget cuts – we’ve offloaded a few big earners and we have parachute payments that cover wages for this year.
Next year may be different, but we may be back in the premier league by then
The arrogance of the Inter fans and management is simply staggering. Simply because a player wants to move – does not give you the right to act in such a self righteous manner. I sincerely hopes he does not move to Internazionale. The Italian media is a disgrace.
Forza Rossoneri. Forza Cardiff
Inter, Medel should have gone to a proper Club like A.C. .
Have a bad season pal.
i dont care he is ours and that matters
Why would Cardiff sell a player for less money than we bought him for ? I’d rather let him rot in the reserve team rather than inter after all the propaganda and tapping up they have done!
just because Cardiff overpaid doesn’t mean any other team is willing to spend the same or more on a gamble
btw, according to your bullsh*t, West Ham should have paid 35m for Andy Carroll, right?
If he is such a gamble why do you want him so badly?
You and your manager want him badly – you just think you can get him cheap.
if you want someone for £5m – go buy someone who is for sale for that price…
Cardiff don’t need to sell – so why should they make a loss?
U clearly don’t know inter’s team situation. let me explain. the most decorated argentine player in history (yes more decorated than messi at the moment) Cambiasso was released at the end of last season. We need a replacement – a no 6, capable of playing as no 2/3/8 as well. we can’t identify an exact replacement because 1 doesn’t exist. so we got m’vila from rubin kazan (he’s no 6/8. medel is no 2/3/6 – the rest of the jigsaw). but if you don’t want to sell him we’ll look elsewhere and be back next year to claim him for a pittance
Thats fine by us.
See you next year, but by then we will be back in the Premier League so the price will be £20M.
Not that it will matter as you still won’t be able to afford him.
By the way – why are you so poor?
@ Dave, I’d rather Inter is temporarily poor, than “rich” but relgated like Cardiff. That’s right, Inter has never been relegated in it’s entire history. How many visits have Cardiff performed to the lower divisions?
I dont want him at all, he is a mediocre player who didnt have more than 3 good games at the Premier League. for his imaginary price there are better players on the market (just think of Fernando)
and again, just because Cardiff paid 13m for him, doesnt mean he is worth that much. just like James Rodriguez doesnt worth anywhere near 80-85m, nor Hulk 50m, and so on…
Zselic – I agree he wasn’t that good in the PL – he certainly showed more of his potential in the World Cup.
But thats not the issue here – Inter want to buy Cardiff don’t want to sell [ cheaply ].
So you either pay the asking price or move on – I’m happy if you move on – no hard feelings.
yeah, but Cardiff’s management must understand that a whole year of below-average performance reduced his price, and 3-4 good games at the World Cup simply cant make up for that
I agree Zselic – he isn’t worth £10M at the moment – but we don’t want to sell.
In a years time he may be worth the £10M again.
At the end of the day regardless of a “real” valuation it’s a sellers marker because we don’t want to sell.
If you want to but – you pay the premium, if you don’t then thats fine as well.
Because they are relegated from the Premier League.
Imagine the plan B, they don’t sell anybody. They will have to pay the same wage for everybody, with less income. In next summer they will have a group of players who has played only in the championship, they value is going to drop.
They will loose money in every case. The question is how much they want to loose.
Bot so – Cardiff have already offloaded some of the higher earners.
Also we have parachute payments from the premier league which covers wages for 2-3 years.
We are one of the favorites to go straight back up, so GM could a premier league player next year.
Oh, and our owner is one of the wealthiest men in Asia
If cardiff owner is the wealthiest man in asia why he doesn’t buy manchester united instead of poor cardiff. Think that with your stupid brain!!
Man Utd weren’t for sale.
I don’t know why he chose Cardiff – I think maybe he saw a club that could become big and but us then, rather than buy someone who was already successful.
Much like Abramovich did with Chelsea and Man City owners – both clubs were bought when either in Div2 or bottom half of Div1 – do you think they made mistakes?
Why you Cardiff rats were hanging around in every post about your funny club have written? Coz you dont have any sites to go there? Oh jesus how poor you really are
nothing better to do on a friday afternoon except wind you lot up…
In Italy the talk is it will be around €7.5 million and then €2 million in bonuses. Galatasaray and a couple of other teams offered more but as in most transfers it’s the will of the player which usually dictates the outcome.
Medal in cardiff new number on his shirt he is not gone yet 500000 euro short
go face the facts man, medel doesnt want to play in ur stupid 2nd division cardiff, he only wants GRANDE INTER, even if they printed him a new shirt with a number its just to try and get inter to pay more , u r too naive
your right he may not want to play there, but thats tough.
He wants Inter – but do they want him?
If they do want him that much then pay the price.
RM wanted Bale badly so they paid the asking price.
obviously u dont know how football works, just cz a team paid an amount for a player that doesnt make him worth that much to everybody just to the team that bought him, and besides u r really comparing medel to bale (as an advice watch more football) ,and if cardiff overpaid for medel that doesnt mean that inter have to make the same stupid move, so we kept it down to the players will and get him for cheap, u and i cant change anyth if cardiff and inter agree so dont waste ur time and try to keep medel, plus cardiff needs the money cz they went down to 2nd division, sth inter never did and never will cz we are GRANDE INTER!!!!
Real Madrid happen to be unique. This summer they’ve spent over 100 million on 2 players. as the sums involved are nothing to bale last year no-one bats an eye. ~~ also, comparing bale to medel is either deliberately obtuse or just plain silly
Octo – Iwasn’t comparing the two just the way two clubs went about their business.
oh, and they do have something in common.
Medal is a Cardiff Player
Bale is from Cardiff.
i hope they have met the full £10 million min price for him
i really hope not, this guy doesnt worth more than 7-8m euros
no we won’t.. first medel is not worth 10mil, second and the most important thing is we don’t have that much money.. sorry
thats fine, come back when you have the money.
LOL clearly you are very sore Dave. I do not blame you. It is not that Inter do not have the money as much as Inter are trying to stay within FFP. The fact is they have tapped up your player & sold him the dream, the ball is no longer in Cardiff’s court unless they want to hold on to a player who will 1. Not be happy playing for you & 2. Will leave for even less if you are not promoted. I don’t think you have a choice, accept €8-9m & move on.
Joe – yes I am sore – sore that Inter think they can come in snap their finger and cheat a club like cardiff out a of player.
Inter have tapped the player up – which incidentally is not allowed, but we all know it goes on.
If Gary does stay with cardiff he may be unhappy – but from what I’ve seen he has more integrity than that – also by playing badly it means he’s losing the chance of his dream move.
If he plays well he go to an even bigger club than Inter in January or next year.
Brilliant !
