Sky Sport talked about Inter’s mercato:
“The deals for Medel and Osvaldo have been finished and now Inter’s mercato will move together with the sales. As soon as Silvestre and Campagnaro are sold, Inter will try to make Rolando return to Milano. If they don’t succeed in bringing back the Portuguese defender, they will try to get another central defender. Other players who could give Inter money is Kuzmanovic who has attracted interest from Valencia and also Schelotto. The most difficult sale at the moment is Guarin who wants the 3 million euro’s that Inter currently pays him from every club that is interested in him. Less difficult is the deal for Taider who has already officially left for Southampton.”

Moratti is an inter legend. He’s an inter tifosi which ET won’t ever be. Just a modern football money man looking for a financial return on his investment. Maybe it was the right time to sell the club and go in another direction but we were lucky to have him GRAZIE PRESIDENTE !!
But Businessman is what we needed now, Look at United. The owner is pure businessman and seems like didn’t have any passion in football. But they have an established brand, 1 terrible season and they can spend like crazy without any fear of FFP.
it is unbelievable quick you guys turn your head off of our former president. To say morratti will running inter to the ground is overreacting and disrespectful. He knew that inter had money problem, and he tried to solve it, but it just too late. The thing is morratti is more a fan than an owner. Sometimes he not acted based on management’s point of view and hat is what E.T bring to the table, he has the vision of an owner and know how and with whom he’ll lead this organization. But please. it is morratti family that laid the foundation. Give them the credit that they deserve.
I totally agree with Danny Hansen…
Mr Moratti started cutting salaries…
He knew it was needed because of FFP…
You can see that if you compare the last couple of years. Mr Moratti is Inter by blood..
And as Mr Hansen said Mr Thohir is taking Inter a step further up…
Inter are going to be strong and healthy in the future 🙂
The problem is Thohir unlike Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed. Thohir not rich like him. so Sad..
come on man, Thohir is rich as fuck, but Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed is out of this world!
Actually, according to the sources I could find Erick Thohir is richer than Sheikh Mansoor. Some sources estimate Erick Thohir’s net wealth at $25 billion. Sheikh Mansoor’s personal wealth is estimated at around $4.9 billion and within an estimated family fortune of $23 billion.
well, but you need to count that he is part of a royal family! as we speak now, you think how much oil that been taken by “his family”. But the point is, I’d rather have an owner with a management brain like E.T than some FM gamer in real life like those oil billionaires.
What source ? Thohir didn’t even make to the Forbes 50 Richest Indonesian. His brother (Garibaldi) is there tho…
Setiap lo komentar bikin malu orang Indonesia. Dari segi grammar hancur, dari segi pengetahuan monus, dari segi kedalaman opini dangkal.
No this is the new age of football with Financial fairplay, Moratti would have run this thing in to the ground. Thohir is doing the right thing trying to promote Inter in Asia and hiriing people who know how to work on a budget. If Moratti and Branca were still here we would be stuck with whatever we had.
Moratti would not have been running the club into the ground. He was well aware that Inter needed to cut costs. People seem to forget that he started the cost-cutting operations before Thohir came along. Releasing Julio Cesar and his salary to get Handanovic who has a much lower salary was one step. Letting go of Sneijder and Lucio was also done under Moratti. Financially they were all good deals. Thohir is a better businessman, I’ll give you that, but don’t say that Moratti didn’t understand FFP, he was one of the clubowners in European football that pushed hardest for the new rules to come into effect.
Its mean that inter so poor now. inter missed moratti..
We are pore BECAUSE of Moratti and he headless transfers and visionless work with the club!
Moratti made some really headless transfers over the years, that’s for sure. His biggest flaw as a president was that he was more of a fan than most other fans. He often acted on impulse to strengthen the team and that’s what I liked about him. When he did that it wasn’t a problem as neither Moratti nor Berlusconi (who did the same thing) didn’t have to worry about FFP. I would be careful to say that Moratti didn’t have visions for Inter. He had a vision: win the Champions League like his father, and he did it. May 22, 2010, is one of the greatest days, perhaps the greatest, in my life as a supporter amd that happened thanks to Moratti’s visions. Yes, we’re paying for it now, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
