Inter have listened to Atletico Madrid’s previous bids for Mauro Icardi and politely said ‘no’. At €20 million the Nerazzurri aren’t tempted to Sell the Argentinian or indeed his team mate Mateo Kovacic. According to Gazzetta dello Sport however a bid of €30 million would give the club of Thohir reason to think. In Spain they say Atletico haven’t given up on the idea of bringing Maurito in for Simeone.

The question for Inter is will we be able to replace Icardi with someone decent for 30 million Euros. The answer is probably no. We could maybe pick up a decent young striker for 25 million but that would give us maybe a 5 million profit but also a player who is not tested. One would imagine if Icardi has a good season with 20+ goals then his value will only increase. Doesnt seem like a good deal just yet.
Icardi is not tested aswell… he played basicly half a season (because of Mazzarri)
He was injured the first half of last season. So, I don’t see how that was Mazzarri fault.

It’s true we need to sell our best players in order to progress in this situation. The good thing is that we have a rich history and a good youth academy, so we will continue to produce good players. The bad thing is that teams like At. Madrid are way ahead of us and will take our players away. But For Icardi the smartest move is to wait a few years.
Wait few years, he will score a lot of goals for us and you will get 50-60 mil. This is how atletico is doing. They know who is the talented young striker for sure. Dont sell him now
