After endless negotiations Inter and Porto had found an agreement for the transfer of Rolando. According to Corriere dello Sport the figure was €3 million but the Nerazzurri have paused for a couple of reasons. Firstly they have been unable to move either Mattia Silvestre or Hugo Campagnaro which has resulted in an overcrowding in central defence. The second motivation for a pause is that Gary Medel can also play in the back 3 so currently there is no sense of urgency to close the deal.

It’s a shame. The way he performed last season, 3 million € is a steal and we don’t take advantage of the player wanting to join us.
Oh what a let down! Rolando is the best cover for vidic in my opinion, or I rather have him on in place of Ranocchia in term of consistency.
