Gazzetta dello Sport this morning give us the two probable lineups for Inter’s opening Serie A fixture against Torino. Gary Medel looks set to debut whilst Mateo Kovacic will look to build on his sensational performance against Stjarnan in the Europa League.

i think we also would be able to play a 3-4-1-2. with our strong defense line and m’vila and medel (/or even hernanes if the opponent hasn’t a good offense line) behind kovacic as a trequartista and striker duo (two of osvaldo, icardi, palacio). this should be a great tactical formation which will help us to have a dominate midfield with a bit creativity and also to do fast counter attacks. in the league i often saw a helpless kova last season if we played 3-5-1-1. now maybe we have more abilities and movements to help kovacic. but how i said we should prefer a 3-4-1-2 we will have a good connection between midfield and the strikers, which was often the problem of the 3-5-1-1!
Medel and M’Villa together is too defensive. I know Guarin might disappoint but give him a shot. Medel can be M’Villa’s back up.
I disagree…I think M’Vila and Medel are a good combo as we need a solid destroying force who can launch our creative players!

I remember here was a article that thohir said mazzarri must switch to fourman-defense. But since that we always play with 3-man defense.

You and the media got it all wrong, Thohir never meant that we should play with 4 men at the back. What hé meant was that we should be able to do so if Mazzarri decided to do so.
And that is clearely not going to happend. But I honestly don’t care, as long as we get the right resoult.

Cerci is not even registered in the Europa League, that means Torino wants to sell him. Unfortunately Cairo only thinks about money but he is an idiot still, this will lower Cerci’s price

i like kovacic behind icardi. that makes him to do more on the pitch. scoring, dictating, dribbling… i just hope he isn’t restricted for waiting balls further on a pitch and that he has freedom to move between the lines whenever he wants.
