The article emphasizes that Thohir is aware of the economic necessity for Inter to own its own stadium in order to grow the club. However, the stadium is currently within their corporate program and there are grantees that this discussion will take place in the near future.

I do believe the stadium discussion is out of the table for now. It will happen only after E.T. fixes inter finances and develop the Inter brand enough to the point that he feels comfortable making a huge investment like a new stadium. Hopefully, when this happens a couple of years down the road, he can buy the Meazza and renovate it, instead of building a new stadium.
i support Inter to build their own stadium. these will generate more income compare to rent at Meazza. Look how far Juve have accomplished. not to mention other European league. The Italian has been left behind for years now.. and now is the time to act.
In interview with topskor Thohir said that he & moratti will focussing on Business & Economic aspect first. In the 4th year they will start discussing about the possibility of building a new stadium or renovate The Meazza.
