This morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport raises the question as to whether Walter Mazzarri has found his ‘three tenors’ at Inter. Whilst coach of Napoli this was the nickname given to the electrifying attacking trio of Edinson Cavani, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Marek Hamsik. According to the newspaper there are comparisons to be drawn between the play of Icardi, Osvaldo and Kovacic and that of the tree superstars once coached by Mazzarri in Naples. Meanwhile somewhat lost in the headlines of an emphatic 7-0 victory was the return of Inter’s most important player over the last two seasons. Rodrigo Palacio entered as a late substitute on Sunday and is finding his way back to fitness after suffering an ankle injury prior to Argentina’s World Cup campaign.
Palacio has at times single handedly carried Inter’s attack over the last 24 months scoring 41 goals in 79 appearances according to Inter’s official website (including yesterday). Never a controversial figure the former Genoa forward was last season rewarded with a new deal by the Nerazzurri. What comes next for ‘El Trenza’ will be very interesting. Will Mazzarri show faith in the striker who has never let him down, or stick with the in form trio of Kovacic, Icardi and Osvaldo? Palacio’s reintegration with the team is certainly something to keep an eye on during the coming weeks and we can expect to see him this Thursday night as Inter travel to Dnipro in the Europa League.

Icardi and Osvaldo look very promising. So they will be my fist choice at the moment.
Palacio deserves respect but the respect should be paid to his health/fitness. No need to rush him back as our current attack with Icardi. Osvaldo ,and Kovacic. But once he is 100%.,no doubt he gets the nod over Osvaldo.
This is a good problem to have. Forza Inter!
Meaning he gets the nod over Osvaldo if Osvaldo’s play begin to slip.
It is a very long road my friend..everyone will have their fair chances to play.relax
I like Palacio he works hard but,Osvaldo adds something different to the attack.
Palacio deserves respect for what’s done for us. If he’d been at inter slightly early he’d have been epic alongside etoo and principe in 2010. As it is he dragged inter through some tough times // but Icardi and Kovacic are the future. Osvaldo has come good so far too; tough call for Mazzarri
If he’d scored the winning goal in the World Cup final of something I’d say his confidence would be sky high and enough to guarantee goals this year…
The fact is, he didn’t, and that is exactly the problem with Palacio, he simply isn’t clinical enough.
Inters main problem is lack of creativity, we have seen that multiple times, over the past twelve months, against a piss poor team yesterday, we created something like 10 chances, against Torino we hardly created a single chance, so we are suffering big time on the creative account.
Meaning we simply can’t afford using a player like Palacio, who unlike Icardi, dos not score on every big chance he get.
I think it might benefit Palacio too in the future perspective not to be matched too rough now in start of the season, as we have seen throughout last season that he got tired at the end, and werent THAT good in the spring. Remember he omstly have been playing every game for Inter the last two seasons due to lack of attackers. Rest him while Osvaldo still scores(as I don’t think it will last too long), and start him october-november.
Very complicate question…
I think we should go on with kovacic icardi and osvsldo. The harmony is great between this three.
