The goalscorer Mateo Kovacic was interviewed by Mediaset Premium after the game:
“I’m happy because I keep on scoring, I’m growing and in this way I can help the team. I have worked a lot with the coach and with his staff both on my shooting and the tactics. I’m learning and I’m hoping to continue like this. The substitution? My calf was hurting because I got a couple of knocks but I’m allright. My position? I like this role, at Dinamo Zagreb I played further down the pitch. Now we have to improve and prepare for the coming games. I don’t know where we can arrive, we are a team that is growing and not at the level of Juve and Roma yet. It’s normal that we are aiming for the Champions League but it’s hard in the Serie A. We will see what happens in the end but all of us want to arrive in the first place, we have to learn a lot though because we are a group of many youngsters. If I feel responsibility? No I’m very happy because the club believes in me, I can take this responsibility without problems. I like playing football for a team like Inter and we are hoping to return to the 2010 version of Inter.”
