Speaking to “calciomercato.com” former referee, Massimo Chiesa, spoke about the controversially disallowed goal at the Barbera last night. The former referee expressed that the disallowed goal scored by Mauro Icardi was absolutely onside and that assistant Valeri Posado made a mistake. As for the Vidic goal, the former referee said that Osvaldo was in an active position and this is why the goal was not allowed.

I have no problem with this call. Although it would be nice to get all calls in our favour this one falls into the 50/50 catagory, you see them called all the time. It is easy to watch in slow motion, with a line across the offside line and complain but it was a close one. Hopefully we will not see a repeat of the last few seasons with all the blatent calls going against us, particularly in regards to penalties. That would be a different story!
This is why italian football has been drop in terms of their rating,, Serie A needs to have a proper referee in every single match. Last season juventus has been unbeaten due advantage they got from the referee. Many teams has been complaint about this issue, and nothing is done so far.
