From his website Alfredo Pedullà praises Inter’s deal for Osvaldo. The mercato expert writes:
“Osvaldo on a free loan with the option to buy for seven million euro’s. A deal done with the hope that the player will pay back, the perfect deal for the clubs that don’t have the possibility to make an investment straight away but that needs to get results straight away. It’s a strategy that pays off and in the Osvaldo case Inter has already one. Because we are talking about an attacker with fantastic skills who wanted to forget about Southampton and Juventus. An attacker who finding Mazzarri, the coach who is a specialist at relaunching strikers who are coming from a bad period, has found the right path for revenge. The great action done yesterday with the acrobatical and winning goal scored against Atalanta confirms all of this. This could be Osvaldo’s season, Inter has everything to win. Getting him on a free loan the club has already won.”

Couldn’t believe with all these seems good deals and then BAMM! front page news Inter among 5 other clubs are being questioned by UEFA for being breached the fair play code?
Osvaldo has scored 3 goals in 4 matches. Very good result. I hope he scores over 20 goals for this season. Very good signing indeed. Plus he is Italian!
I just hope he won’t do something stupid.
keep play good mi boy!
I agree, this was a really nice deal. And so far, he has been performing really good. I just hope with all these loans from Dodo, M’Vila and Osvaldo, that it won’t repeat like with Rolando, who played really good but we didn’t pay up to snatch him.
The problem with Rolando was that we didn’t have an option to buy with that deal, so Porto upped the price on him and Inter refused to pay up for a player that wouldn’t play at all if he stayed at Porto (which is the case right now) and was offered out on loan for 2 seasons in a row.
This isn’t the case with any of the players Inter has on loan this season.
Actually Inter have the option to buy, but we want to lower the amount, and porto doesnt accept that
Actually we did have him on a loan with option to purchase. And in the end, Porto offered him to us for 4 million € and we didn’t take it.
The problem is that there’s no space for him in defender posts since we failed to sell Silvestre and Hugo. Taking him in means more budget and not very effective, perhaps next year when those two name above are out of contract then Rolando can come, if other clubs doesn’t steal him of course.
rolando would be out of contract at the end of this season. so if he still wanted to come here and mazzarri still want him, then he’ll be here either in january or july
Dodo’s loan deal is different. As soon as he played 1 competitive match for Inter it becomes an obligatory purchase so that it’s now a done deal
