“I saw some pictures from years ago when I was wearing the Inter shirt, those are some unforgettable memories that always make me happy. The national team? When I stopped playing I was already happy with my footballing career after having played 17 years at Inter and then finishing it of at Fiorentina but I still had two dreams. One was to return to Inter as a director and winning something with the team and then end up in the national team. I must say that the first dream came true and I also was lucky enough to take Inter back where they belonged, and now I’m also working with the national team which I’m very happy and satisfied with.”
