Medel to play as central defender for Chile?

In the coming days 11 Inter players will be involved with their national teams and one of them is Gary Medel.

According to the Chilean medias the Inter midfielder should start for Chile as a central defender, as opposed to the midfield position he has played in for Inter. This is nothing new for Medel as he has played that position extensively in his time with Chile.
