Andrea-Mandorlini

After the match Inter vs Verona, Hellas coach and former Inter player Andrea Mandorlini spoke to Madiaest after the match:

“After our goal in the first half we were sloppy, but in the second half, we deserved to equalize at least.  Inter did not deserve to win, and we had so many chances.  We are happy that we got a draw. After introducing Nico and Javier they did their part very well.  Toni’s penalty.  Handanovic is an excellent goalkeeper in these situations but the shot should have been higher.  At half time the team clarified certain situations in the locker room.  In the second half we changed our attitude and knew that we could do better than 1-1.  We played better when we didn’t defend deep, and this proved as they scored two goals against us. On their two goals we could have done better, but against great players these things can happen.”
