According to the English newspaper ‘Daily Mail’ Roberto Mancini has Liverpool captain and former England midfielder Steven Gerrard on his mind for January. If Gerrard fails to agree an extension to his current deal (which expires in the summer) a top league such as Italy could be very appealing. The former national team captain has lucrative offers from the United States but on a football level, Italy could tempt Gerrard to stay in Europe.
