Tuttomercatoweb report that the reported interest of Inter in Atletico’s Alessio Cerci can be considered concrete. In fact Diego Simeone’s club aren’t opposed to cashing in on the Italian international who was only purchased by Atleti this summer. It isn’t clear if a loan proposal would be of any interest at all as this with the right of redemption would be the Nerazzurri’s first choice. The club from the Spanish capital have been continually linked to Mauro Icardi but it seems that with Mandzukic in hand they aren’t interested in a striker with the profile of Inter’s Argentinian hitman.

There is no way in hell Atletico will let go of Cerci after purchasing him only this summer in order to get Icardi. First of all – Inter want to keep Icardi (Mancio has spoken highly of him in the past and the management have also pointed out that he is one of the players at the center of the club’s future). Second of all, I don’t think Icardi would go anywhere where they would bench him, and he certainly won’t push Mandzukic out of Atleti’s starting lineup.
The only way for Inter to get Cerci is to pay up, which they can’t do right now, so this is basically a pointless rumor.
