Corriere dello Sport discusses the latest situation regarding Inter target Alessio Cerci. Atletico are determined to recover every euro in any sale of the Italian international. They paid €15 million up front only last summer and a series of expensive bonuses are also due. Diego Simeone’s side would like to insert Mauro Icardi in the deal but Inter aren’t interested in losing their top scorer. The value of Icardi has risen steadily even after the €35 million Inter requested last summer. For this reason the Nerazzurri don’t want Icardi involved in any exchange deal. If they are to sell then the preference is to encourage an auction next summer where Atletico wouldn’t be the only interested party.

Good. Icardi is our future.
Icardi should not be sold under any circumstances for less than 40 mil euro considering where he is at now and his young age/potential. I believe Inter management rightly holds a similar position. We should be building our team around Juan Jesus, Kovacic, and Icardi. Bring in great players who can enhance their amazing talents. Only in an extreme circumstances should any of these players be considered for sale
i find it hard to get Cerci without involving any of our players, altho Icardi is definetly more valuable.
so Fassone said and i quote “This year, thanks to the savings we’ve made, we had some
leeway in the budget and we decided that the best use for this was to invest in a coach like Mancini”
basicly we gave Mazzarri a severance pay and most of our budget is gone. as much as i don’t want any of this to happen, if we want to see our beloved team back in the elite, Thohir might sacrafice Handanovic, JJ, Kovacic and Icardi (circa 100m income) to build up a new team with fresh capital
……or we can hope that the rumors about Ernesto Pellegrini (Ex Inter President who sold the club to Massimo Moratti in 1995) investing money and buying minority shares from the club are true, he didnt deny it today and just said “no comments” http://www.fcinter1908.it/ultim-ora/pellegrini-aiuta-thohir-l-ex-presidente-non-smentisce-non-commento-e-non-lo-faro-130172
i’m sure Thohir has a lot of money, but he can’t spend it without the UEFA kicking our ass
with all the financial regulations we simply cannot spend more than we make, and with low TV-right incomes, low sponsorship deals (200m / 10 years with Nike, it is not bad, but there is room for improvement) and no own stadium it is extremely difficult to catch up with the better teams of Europe – heck, even with Juventus
that is why i mentioned the possible sale of our 4 most valuable players, whose absence would leave a huge quality gap but insure capital for further investments
Well, i dont think you understood what i was saying, i agree with almost everything you said and this is why i posted my comment :/ since if Pellegrini buys minority shares from the club that means the club’s capital increases and we can spend that on transfers and what not, its acceptable by UEFA’s FFP (i know Thohir has money but cant inject it into the club because of FFP restrictiont, thats another story) if someone buys shares from the club we wouldn’t be forced to sell our most valuable players (even though im down with that if the time comes), now i just hope those Pellegrini rumors are true. 🙂
i don’t think that i can understand what you said. “since if Pellegrini buys minority shares from the club that means the
club’s capital increases and we can spend that on transfers” the basic thing about ffp is you can’t spend what you can’t earn. and i don’t think the money the clubs took from selling the shares can be considered as an “earn” by the rules. if that kind of rules that you stated can be accepted by ffp then every teams would had been doing the same to easily “mocking” the ffp
news flash for you bro, it IS considered money “EARNED” and regarding the last sentence; what the actual fuck!?! did you just imply that every club “can” on its own will easily find buyers to buy its shares!?! thats ridiculously stupid!! i give up explaining since its no use discussing this with financial inept people
not for sell
Bench warmer Cerci involved in exchange deal for our top scorer who’s only 21 years young, this is a deal who only genius Marco Branca could create. Remind me of the deal of the century Guarin for Vucinic.
I am okay to let him go for >35 million.
And then what. Inter’s scoring department is slacking pretty bad right now. If we sell Icardi, we will finish 12-14 this year
Oh come on dude, 35 million could be invested to even more complete players. And this is how a team like dortmund, atl. Madrid, porto, could survive by selling his most valuable player and find another quality players or even another player for other department. I am still not regard icardi as indispensable for inter.
You talk a little unfair about Icardi, Stop smoking pal
agree with you on this. as long as we get huge chunk for him then i would take it and find another better player
please do not sell Icardi. We need him.
