With Gary Medel out for the derby this Sunday, Mancini might decide to start Yann M’Vila in midfield. The former Rubin Kazan player had endured trouble in Mazzarri’s 3-4-2-1 formation but could excel in Mancini’s 4-3-1-2 formation. M’Vila is yet to make an impact at Inter but a good performance in the derby under Mancini could prove redemption for the French midfielder.

If he’s fit for at least 65-70 minutes and in decent shape, in my opinion M’Vila have to be number one contender for the defensive midfielder spot.
