Today Xherdan Shaqiri’s Italian representative Ulisse Savini spoke to Centro Suono Sport about the current situation of his client:
“The only talks we had about Shaqiri this summer was with Roma. They eventually signed Juan Iturbe, who seemed destined to join Juventus but he chose Roma. The current situation is very difficult and I do not think that he can move in January. There will be a decisive meeting in December between the player, his brother, and representatives of Bayern. They will decide his future. Until then, nothing will happen. I cannot confirm that if there will be a meeting with Roma, they will call players into the deal. We will see. I have not had any contacts with Roma and I know that Sabatini admires the player. There will certainly be meetings in the future.”
who would you guys want at Inter:
Lamela, Cerci or Shaqiri?
I would like Hazard. But i think that the point is who’s realistic and i think none of them. For me, Lamela starting to show some qualities and it’s too expensive for our financial situation, Cerci and Shaquri could change their clubs this winter, but i believe their price tags are probably too out of our reach.
Shaqiri is better than Cerci to some degree : shaqiri can play on the wing or behind attacker, Cerci prefers playing away from the box but Shaqiri plays away and at the dge of the box, shooting: both actually have quality but Shaqiri produce more power in his curls making his shots more dangerous, finally Shaqiri has better body balance due to his age, body structure and height…. all that plus way younger and experienced in Club like Bayern.

When Mancini got appointed and the speculation regarding his starting formations would be I couldn’t stop thinking about what if we had gotten Alexis Sanchez instead of Arsenal… But Shaqiri was actually the second player that came into my mind, a quality player who is capable to do something concrete leading to shots on goals just like Alexis. I actually think that he is more suitable than Cerci, as Shaqiri actually has produced results in teams that have had the possession of the ball in both Basel and Bayern as both team was title contenders in their leagues. Cerci in the other hand a great season in a counter attacking Torino with great play with Immobile, yes he has the experience of Serie A but I would still prioritize to get Shaqiri over Cerci.

Yes I am aware of that it’s impossible due to him being an established world class player now, but it’s the type of winger that Alexis is I think is what we need. The closest one I can think of is Shaqiri, lets hope that it comes true even if I doubt it.
