In one of the most unlikely transfer stories of the last millenium, Inter have been linked to Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. Catalan newspaper ‘Sport’ claims that Erick Thohir’s Inter are among the clubs keeping an eye on Messi’s increasingly strained relationship with Barcelona. The article claims that the Argentinian international could be looking for a way out of Spain as quickly as this summer. Chelsea, Manchester City, PSG and Inter are monitoring the situation. It is more than a stretch to imagine Erick Thohir investing the amount that would be required on a single player but Messi is very attracted by Milan. He also has a history with previous owner Massimo Moratti after Inter’s ex president enquired about his availability during his initial years at Barca.
