According to Sky Sports Gianluca Di Marzio, the former Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester City defender Sylvinho could soon be officially confirmed as Roberto Mancini’s assistant manager at Inter. The former Brazilian international defender has been assistant manager at Corinthians since 2013. Mancini of course knows the player from his days in England with Manchester City. Di Marzio states that a few details are missing but the choice has been made by Inter. An official announcement could come soon.

I know he is dani. hes too gd for leicester and cud be on the end of a first relegation in his career. He shud have been given another year or 2 at inter im sure we cud have made him like a player/coach sort of role

Agree!! I have for a long time said that we should do all we can to bring him back home when he stops playing and make him coach at the club (youth lever or assistant) because – mark my worlds- he will be a world class coach just like Simeone one day!

I do hope Cambiasso returns to Inter one day in whatever role, was sad to see him go in the first place.
But I’m not sure it’ll happen, considering the manner in which he and Inter split ways.

Sounds very interesting! He’s a man with a huge name in Brazil and he knows all about the young Brazilians coming through at the moment, and he’s name could help us securing them! With Zanetti (and the rest of the Argentines) we got Argentina covered and with Zylvinho will be covered in Brazil! Besides he has been working as an assistant for more than 1 year at Corinthias, so he knows the job and his role!
To be honest, I’m surprised at the difficulty Mancio has had in finding his assistant; this is something that bugs me, I’m wondering why it would be the case.
