Gazzetta dello Sport this morning gives an update on Piero Ausilio’s scouting mission in England. Inter’s technical director is focussing on Liverpool with Lucas Leiva and possibly Fabio Borini the two players in question. Mancini appreciates the profile of Leiva and his level of experience, Inter are hopeful a loan deal could be agreed for January.

Lucas Leiva and Borini!!! I know that this is just a rumor, but made us look pathetic. If we expect players like Lucas and Borini to bring us quality, all i can say is poor us.
This. We can aim for this. Ayew has a contract running out/Podolski is unhappy at Arsenal and will probably leave (I’d prefer Ayew due to Poldi’s age); Cerci is massively unhappy with Atleti and we’re “friends” with Simeone; Nastasic completely out of favor with City and Mancio’s contacts with the club should be enough to secure him. Who needs Borini?!
We would have to sell some, though. Probably get rid of Kuzmanovic, Jonathan (if we can get a decent right full back, couldn’t think of anyone so I left Jonathan as an alternative to Nagatomo, which is a flaw), Obi, Krhin, ; Campagnaro will surely leave with his contract running out… Unfortunately, we might even have to sell someone more important (Medel is the first one that comes to mind, seeing as how he would find it difficult to fit in with a 4-3-3), but as long as we keep Handanovic/JJ/Kovacic/Icardi it’s bearable.
We’ll just have to get some backup in central midfield as well. I’m thinking Lucas Leiva + a young Brazilian (if we can take advantage of Sylvinho’s presence).
I realize this would take some money to achieve, but like Moratti said a couple of days ago, Thohir seems to understand that he will have to spend money in order to make some. The team has to win so the club can grow, and this would still be cheap bargaining on Inter’s part.
This is a squad that beckons a CL spot and even gives Roma/Juve a good run for their money. Give up the Lavezzi dream, there are cheaper options out there, ones that are actually possible.

I probably would too, but from what I’ve seen, Mancini rates Guarin as one of the best players on the squad. Doubt he’ll agree to selling him.
Me too and never get Lucas in the first place. He’s pure garbage. Lets put another Rannocchia in the team..

Good, but I don’t understand why everybody including you force Palacio to play on the wing? He’s second striker, for a wing are needed other qualities speed, cross, etc. Why exclude possible Konoplyanka arriving?
Because in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 he has nowhere else to play mate. He can’t play as the lone striker because there’s already Icardi and Osvaldo who are doing quite well there.
As per Konoplyanka, I didn’t want to push it 🙂 I barely believe most of the ones I’ve mentioned are possible, sounds a bit too good to be true 🙂 I wouldn’t mind, tho, Konoplyanka is a fine player.
