Today Jose Mourinho spoke about the players who could leave the club in January:
“If you want to build a team in a certain way you need some authority, the best way to do this is to keep the same team and most of the players and to make some rotations. But I do not want our players who are on loan to come back, nor do I want others to go away.”
These statements could rule out a potential move for Chelsea winger Mohammed Salah, who is understood to be eager for a move due to a lack of playing time.

he’s hardly likely to say ‘come and take player x off my hands’ is he?..
Maybe Moratti should go and have a nice little talk with him 😀
haha, well after chelsea’s first loss of the season today anything’s possible i guess
Nah, highly doubt today’s game would change anything in the way Mourinho’s thinking about the situation.
Mourinho already said before that Chelsea will lose points, they will lose games, but it will happen sporadically and Chelsea will not face a crisis in results. So far, everything is going according to plan, so no point in changing his mind. If he wanted to sell Salah, he wanted that before today’s game.
I have a feeling Salah and Schurrle will leave next summer and Chelsea will go after Reus + another young player much like Salah was brought, one that will accept to warm the bench a lot of the time.
Mind games… Though I actually agree with you; i was simply playing devil’s advocate. Salah leaving Chelsea would be good news for us and they don’t use him so i’m all for that.
i hope Chelsea move for Reus—kind of a ‘screw you’ to madrid and bayern and he’s an upgrade on Schurrle, whose presence strengthens the bench not the starting xi. don’t know how Reus’ presence would affect Hazard’s role but sure Mourinho would figure something out 🙂
