Chelsea are still interested in Mauro Icardi. Fichajes.net reports that Mourinho is ready to invest 14 million punds for the Argentinian striker. According to the site Inter could accept the offer seeing as Mancini wants to make changes already in January. Chelsea wants a good young striker to replace Drogba and waiting for his renewal, the competition for Icardi is starting to grow.

Don’t see Chelsea getting him anyway, especially not in January. If Icardi wants to play, he certainly won’t get too much time in Chelsea, not with Diego Costa there 😛
Diego Costa is only one of them I don’t see Icardi outshining Drogba nor Remy
Oh well, lets say they want to sign him in June, Drogba retires or something… Remy is still very good (like you said) and he won’t get the desired time on the pitch, so it’s a no-go. Icardi can’t find a club as big as Inter that will play him as much.
Lets hope we don’t do bad enough the rest of this season to force him out even at the cost of him ending up a substitute somewhere. We need points…
Think Thohir needs to spend to make money in the long run. The fact that he doesn’t means one of the next 3 things imo:
1. He doesn’t trust his management to spend the money wisely (bad)
2. He doesn’t have the money (worse)
3. He’s stubborn (worst).
