Suffering with a fever it’s been an extremely frustrating time for the former Manchester United defender since joining the Nerazzurri. Early mistakes and then injuries have seen the Serbian international fall out of favour and now it appears that his future at Inter could be in doubt. Vidic will need to make a breakthrough into the starting eleven before mid-January or he could face an embarrassing exit from Serie A after just half a season of football.

I feel the spirit of Cannavaro hanging over Vidic. No doubt we will let him go for nothing and he will suddenly find his form again and be hailed as one of the best defenders in Europe. That whole Cannavaro situation still bugs me
