They have shared smiles, tears, good times and bad, they’ve even traded blows but could the Roberto Mancini-Mario Balotelli partnership get one last shot? Balotelli already seems to have outstayed his welcome on Merseyside (in just half a season) whilst the same could be said of Inter’s Colombian international Fredy Guarin. In separate reports, two English newspapers have speculated on a possible switch for the problematic pair, could it happen in January? According to the ‘Mirror‘ Guarin is a loan target for Reds boss Brendan Rodgers as he seeks reinforcements to transform Liverpool’s stuttering campaign. Inter have insisted Guarin would only leave on a permanent transfer but could Balotelli’s availability change the Nerazzurri’s thinking? Meanwhile the ‘Daily Star‘ insist that Mancini wants to continue his working relationship with Balotelli at Inter. Despite their problems in Manchester it is Mancini who has overseen some of the best moments in the controversial strikers career. Inter are desperate for help in attack, could they take a massive risk on Balotelli being able to put his well documented issues behind him?

A BIG NO!
solve problem with problem
Hell no, Guarin isn’t the greatest team player but he’s a much better team player than Balotelli. And he doesn’t come with all the added off-the-field issues. I’m sorry but “Balotelli is young” is not an excuse that can fly anymore, he’s 24, he’s not a kid anymore. And he’s barely developed since he left Inter, pass.
He is suited to the slower pace of Italian football. If he can somehow catch form it can be a good transaction. But we also need to get rid of the injury prone, out of form Hernanes. I have not seen him play more than 2 games in a row without getting injured
If he can control his temper eventhough that is almost impossible.. He is a good player.. My question is only why we dont just buy milner coz he can play in several positions like stankovic and also buy jovetic as well as selling icardi, ranocchia and handanovic to be able to get the fresh money to mancini so that he can buy the players who are required by him
Come on man! Handa is untouchable!
I know bro. But our financial situation does not help us 🙂
Uhh…I think I choose to have Cassano or Belfodil back
I’d take it! Balo is a player everyone knows around the world (for better or worse) and he knows the coach and knows how to play on top (which could free up a multi mil.euro sale of Icardi) or on the wing!
I think he has been matured in these 4 years, (don’t get me wrong, he is still an idiot but not the way he was in 2010) and let’s not forget his potential.
He can play as a striker an a winger as well. He is two-footed with a great deal of technique and a strong body. Just need a teacher-material coach like Mancio to bring the best out of him.
How long can we keep talking about potential though? He’s not a teenager anymore, and let’s not forget that Balotelli has never even scored more than 20 goals in all competitions in any one season. His highest tally came two seasons ago at 18, in 41 games…
Im ok with swapping guarin-balo
Me 2
he never ever respect our club and fans. why should we help him.
Balotelli’s work ethic is 0, yes zero. And he might disturb the harmony in dressing room as well. I dont think he’s worthed at all. I think Balo’s value at the moment is dropping significantly since he couldnt fulfill his true potential.
If we want to get rid Guarin, it has to be with cash. So we can find other players.
You never shit on the club that discovered you and gave you a chance. It’s the most important rule in football, and he was dumb enough to do just that. Never again in Inter.
