Many rumors have been pointing towards a January transfer away from Inter for Nemanja Vidic.

The latest news from the UK however suggests otherwise. The Daily Mail claim there is no chance of a return for the ex-United skipper to Old Trafford. The reason is because Louis Van Gaal apparently does not see him as necessary or the right fit for his plans. The 33 year-old Serb has not been able to find the form in Italy he made a name for himself on while he was in England. His agent has maintained he will stay at Inter, but Mancini’s plans for the mercato may have a different say.

Author’s note: His salary is simply too high for him to remain on the bench. Either he should be playing when fit, for he needs to find a new team. I want to see him given another few games to prove himself, especially under the new system, as I believe he still has it in him. Vidic is also too big a name to remain a reserve, when I’m sure there are many who would be interested in seeing him start for them. I think as a player he wants to prove his stay in Milano was not a failure, as well.

Do you want to see Vidic given another go in the back-four defense? Or do you think he should be sold in January?
