According to InterData (@Inter_Data), only five players in Italy have completed over a thousand passes this season. Leading the charts is Empoli’s Mirko Valdifiori with 1,192, followed by Roma’s Miralem Pjanic (1,097), Juventus’ Claudio Marchisio (1,045). The fourth and fifth spots are filled with two Inter players: Gary Medel (1,045) and Juan Jesus (1,039). In fact, Juan Jesus is the defender with most number of successful passes in Serie A this season.

Medel doesn’t risk and plays close passes.
Other than that he doesn’t get involved in creation but focuses on destruction.
It would be great if he had M’villa’s long pass!
As for JJ he has a great potential and is decent. BUT he sometimes is awful in decision making and plays long balls to nowhere. He and Mancini have to work on this.
Of Medel’s, how many have been successful, and of those, how many have actually been productive in constructing a forward movement?
His stats have been inflated by his position and countless backward/sideways 1-metre passes. We need a player with good vision and execution who can lie deep and construct the play through creative passes. Medel is the opposite of this and we are effectively a man down in constructing forward play from our half. Fortunately Mancini is aware of this and seems to have a deep lying play-maker at the top of his Mercato wishlist.
where is guarin? hahaa
two best players along side kovacic in inter
Our next Il Capitano
Forza inter
yes!
Juan has been underperforming as well in the past few weeks. He seems sloppy and unfocused. And there’s far less of that warrior’s spirit he showed in the beginning of the season.
I agree with some of the recent games, but against Lazio, I totally disagree. He was one of the only few that showed some spirit in the game and if it wasn’t for him, if we had 2 Ranocchias lets say, we would conceade way more than 2 goals.
Oh I totally think he’s our best defender atm, but he has been falling under the panic spell whenever we get pressed, just like Ranocchia. Which produces mistakes. He’s still young, though, and I’m sure he will continue improving.
I disagree bro, he’s been carrying the defense on his back all season..Rannochia has been dragging him down.
Yeah. He tried so hard to plug the hole that our fantastic captain left wide open
