The SempreInter player of the month is back!
We played 4 games this December; however one of them was against Qarabag where most of our first team was rested. We also scored 5 goals and if you want to vote for your favourite one, here’s a last reminder. The results will be out before our game vs Juventus .
The SempreInter player of the month for December 2014 is none other than our magician Mateo Kovacic. Scored 2 goals and just gets better with every minute he plays.
He was our best player on the pitch against Udinese by far and dominated the midfield, made runs and controlled the tempo when Inter were good in that first half. He didn’t travel to Baku to play Qarabag but the rest did him well as he scored in the first half at the Bentegodi. Nima in his match ratings said that Kovacic looked happy and finally understands what he is supposed to do on the field. Hard to disagree and deservingly a 2nd straight man of the match for the Croat.
With the confidence flowing, the best was yet to come against Lazio. He was rated a 9 for this game and probably would have got a 10 if some of his team-mates hadn’t slept-walked through the first half. Even then he was the only one to show some quality and understanding of the game. In the 2nd half he started the comeback with that wonderful goal.
Honorable mentions to Juan and Gary Medel who were joint 2nd this month with an average for 6.33. Samir Handanovic, who was POTM in November, rounds up the top 3.
