According to Sport Mediaset Inter could be the favourites in the Neto race. The Brazillian goalkeeper will leave Florence this summer when his contract expires. Inter, Roma, and Juventus are all interested in the current Fiorentina man. If Inter sell Samir Handanovic to Roma or abroad then the Nerazurri would become strong favourites to sign Neto. The Brazilian would not receive adequate game time in Turin because of the presence of Gianluigi Buffon. Inter would then be the logical option for Neto because he would get more game time in Milano.

Handanovic is our most marketable player except Kovacic (who i sincerely hope is unsellable). We have to part ways at some point or we lose Bardi for sure. If we sell Handanovic I’d much rather it be to a side abroad—quality goalkeepers are in high demand at sides like arsenal/liverpool in the EPL and maybe Dortmund in the bundesliga, psg in ligue 1. Atletico, Madrid, valencia wouldn’t want him and Barca can’t sign anyone. I would say Arsenal have demonstrated they’re willing to splash out on a marquee signing each of the past 2 years and handanovic would be an amazing signing for them. everyone loves london, he’s played with sanchez at udinese (i think?) and arsenal have a pretty appalling defence for a top 4 contender. Arsenal would be a good fit for him. (and i’m not saying this as an arsenal fan-i support chelsea over here)
So if we accept handanovic will be sold to a foreign side who should we play in goal? Bardi is an option but what if he’s not up to inter? Neto would be a smart bosman—he’s not a guaranteed starter ahead of bardi like handanovic is but he’s a pretty decent keeper. we could profit from handanovic’s sale and have 2 very good keepers competing with each other. of course it’d be much easier to act this out if we get european football, which remains to be seen
